transmission bumps

Hi All,
I know this has been adressed before but i went through the threads and did not find a definitive answer about it. I just bought a new advance trim 2015 TLX A9 transmission and in the reverse to drive mode as well as low gear shifts i get bumps/jerks. Also there is a reluctance/ hesitation so the transmission is really not smooth in lower speeds.
Did anyone get those issues resolved? Was there a factory recall ever about a 2015 TLX?
I will appreciate all the help i can get
Thank You.

Sorry to inform you, but the only fix is to have a new transmission installed. Unfortunately, the dealer will most likely not do this and will tell you that there are software updates that will fix this problem. Software updates will not fix it. After the software updates, if you continue to bring the car back, they will tell you the transmission is operating as designed. Good luck.

I personally wouldnt be quite as negative as Mojo, I have a Nov 14 build and the software upgrades and "relearnings" have reduced the transmission issues to a tolerable level, although I am monitoring it closely and have already warned the service folks that if it doesnt stay tolerable I will want it replaced. Others apparently have it a lot worse and some have had their transmissions replaced.

You bought a NEW 2015? Was this one that was left on the lot? What is the month it was built? That is on a sticker inside the drivers door. It may have been on the dealer lot for many months and they never did any of the software updates. But if you are already having these issues, and the car is a pre Jun 15 build and you can return it and get your money back, I'd seriously consider it. Acura has replaced a few transmissions from earlier 2015 builds but you honestly can't trust them to help you.
