A-Spec at the Dealer-Tranny issues

So dropped off my Asepc at the dealer this am. Having really rough shifts, Loud whining coming from the Tranny between 3-4k rpm and on top of the transmission it seems like there was a leak of old fluid. As soon as I pulled into the dealer lot, the car dropped into Neutral and stayed there I said perfect, took the car off put it on to get it moving and rolled into the Garage. Car has about 22k on it and this is the first time the tranny gave me any issues.

Anyone else have problems like this on a V6 aspec?

Hate to hear that; you & I have very similar rides; mine has 14,000 miles on it
Was just saying the other night, how much better the ZF is on the 2018/A-SPEC
Me; so far, so good; although, I kind of baby the car; only drive weekends; always in "S" mode
Lease is up in January/2021; hopefully, no problems, till then
I know you don't want to hear it, but at least, you're under warranty
Hopefully, just an adjustment, or software upgrade
GOOD LUCK!

Not going to believe this, I got a call last night my car was ready when I got it this morning it was smoother than ever and very responsive. Ii asked the rep what happened, he said they needed to apply a pcm update for the transmission. He didnt have the paper as to which one he applied but they will email me. So far so good feel better than before. I honestly thought the tranny was done and when it dropped into neutral I said that’s it. Next time you head into the dealer have them double check for any pcm updates for you, my car feels really different after this update.

Mine is an 18, they said the residual on top of the transmission was from an oil change the tech did before and they apologized. They gave a me a free oil change and a free car wash voucher.

Funny you said that; at Dinner on Saturday, I was showing pics of the new TypeS, to my Nephews
I'll have to test drive it out of state, like I did for the current A-SPEC; (Florida)
NYC is not the ideal testing grounds

Yup, can’t wait to see what they will do, they need to put a good tranny in it. NYC roads are the worst I get two alignments a year because of it. I'll be moving to long island soon where it's a bit smoother and less speeding cameras lol.

Overall the Aspec is a really nice car, people still stop me to check it out. I wished I got your color it’s awesoeme exspecially when you polish it : )
