So my Daughter bought a 2018 TLX A spec which was used
the keyfob that came with it had the 3 lights at the top and auto starts the car.
when we asked for the second key the dealer told us there was actually 2 keys a driver 1 and driver 2 but neither had the auto start but they do work otherwise.
so my question is when this car was bought new would it have had the auto start fob from the factory? or do you think the owner bought the accessory later?
or do you think it came with driver 1, 2 and maybe they lost the oem #2 key and ended up getting aftermarket pair of key fobs?

next question..
the instrument cluster has developed what looks like condensation at the left side that wont come off. so its either on the inside of the plastic or something spilled on the outside causing it to fog or damage the surface.
before i take it apart to clean i wondered if this was a common problem.

I bought mine with autostart and it only came with driver 1 key capable of remote start. Mine is a 2015 though so not sure if later years offered both remote start keys.

I have never heard of condensation in the instrument cluster.

 

Aspec does NOT come factory with remote start, so that means previous owner added it as an accessory, and It is only 1 fob not 2. So what you have is normal. No sense paying extra for 2nd key to have auto start stop, just be glad previous owner forked over a lot of cash and had that done

Not sure about instrument cluster. If you happened to buy the car certified from Acura dealer you can bring it back there for them to look at, if not, good luck.

 

 

Well the Remote start as an accessory does come with two fobs probably the old owner didn't gave the second one. Cause I install remote start in my 2019 TLX Aspec and it did came with two fobs. Hope that help.

 

Honestly it might be an option 1 or 2 keys. Either way to the original poster, you got a free remote start system, i wouldn't add it to the 2nd key
