My driver window auto up/down doesn't work

All other 3 windows work...

Is there a way to make it work again. It worked ONCE. Went to press it back up and now it doesn't work anymore automatically. just goes for as long as i hold it for.

Any thoughts what I can do?

there is a reset option for the 3rd gen TL.

there might be a reset option for the new TLX to get your window to roll down.

read the manual, maybe.

Previously it was roll all the way down, roll all the way up and continue to hold up button for 5 secs.

I am currently experiencing this issue. I recently had my windows tinted so I thought that would've caused the problem but no door panels were removed and tint was computerized cut. At first the driver's side window would only go up/down in short increments. I took it all the way down to the base and now it goes up/down in a smooth/continuous flow-but only if I keep my finger on the lever. Insanik was your issue resolved?

To reset the window, start with the window closed.

Push and hold the switch in the auto down position and keep holding the switch all the way down for 5 seconds after the window has opened all the way.

Now pull and hold the switch in the auto close position and keep holding for 5 seconds after the window has closed all the way.

The auto feature should now be working again.

Thank you for responding. I tried this method, however I still get the same results. The window will only go up or down continuously if my finger is pulling or pushing the lever. The window will go up or down intermittently if I stop/start the lever push or pull. I find it odd that I can get the passenger's side window to do a continuous up or down with pushing or pulling the lever twice and letting go.

I looked at my owner's manual (it appears that's the way it's supposed to operate???). P.158 Opening/Closing the Windows says:

Automatic operation

To open: Push the switch down firmly.

To close: Pull the switch up firmly.

The window opens or closes completely. To

stop the window at any time, push or pull the

switch briefly.

Manual operation

To open: Push the switch down lightly, and

hold it until the desired position is reached.

To close: Pull the switch up lightly, and hold it

until the desired position is reached.

The good news is if the reset procedure I listed does not fix the problem, it will be under warranty and your local dealer will be able to fix it at no charge to you (unless the tint shop cut something in the door that is preventing it from working)
