Took chip out of ring around drive button - help identifying part #

I mishandled my sunglasses and they dropped on the center console where the gear shift buttons are. The drop took a nick out of the silver ring (which lights up green when engaged) which surrounds the D (drive) button.

I suppose I'll live with it for now but was curious as to what the cost would be to replace. I poked around some of the online parts diagrams but wasn't able to identify what I'd have to replace. I won't be surprised if I have to do the whole assembly, and if that's the case, would just leave it as is. But I would like to know what part(s) we're talking about when dealing with this ring around the D button.

I'll keep looking but would appreciate input from anyone who may have information on the replacement part(s). Wondering if it's this? Escutcheon Assy., R. *Nh772x*Part Number: 77294-TZ3-A01ZA

If you are ACD fix it so it doesn't drive you crazy. Otherwise, forgot about it and move on.

You might be on to the right part based off the description. A google search didn't reveal any pictures, but the name of the part did add to my vocabulary. Could the "ring" around 'D' be the escutcheon plate. Makes one wonder...

es·cutch·eon
iˈskəCHən/
noun
noun: escutcheon; plural noun: escutcheons; noun: escutcheon plate; plural noun: escutcheon plates
  1. 1.
a shield or emblem bearing a coat of arms.

  2. 2.
a flat piece of metal for protection and often ornamentation, around a keyhole, door handle, or light switch.

Can't wait to go into the dealer and ask for a quote on the escutcheon ring. I better pronounce it properly so they understand (is-katch-en)

There will be other minor scratches and the like- if it's cheap and bothers you replace the ring, otherwise, it's not worth the hassle, plus, it might be involved to remove it.
