interior temp gauge for AUTO setting

I think my interior temp gauge needs to be adjusted. I have to set auto temp on 82° to get any heat flowing and then once temp is reached it will begin to flow cooler air. On my RLX if I set temp at 76° then it remains there comfortably - no excessive air flow to cool cabin down once it has reached programed temp. I really think Acure missed the target on the auto temp settings with this model - I have the V6 Adv. Has anyone else experienced this failure and is there a fix for it?

Isn't this the same issue as the previous thread that you posted to here?

Yes, I and others here have experienced the same problem. You should be able to find my previous threads on this forum. Despite evaluations by the dealer, I have been told that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. Sometimes, I have to set it to 80 degrees just to get an actual temperature of around 70 degrees inside the cabin. One day, it was around 20 degrees as I pulled into the dealership garage and cold air was actually blowing from the windshield area vent. How they call this normal is beyond me. I've tried to overlook it since I'm stuck with this car for another few years and want to make the best of the situation. Please call Client Relations and advise them of your experience.

If you leave it on auto you get heat coming from the bottom and the defroster running on top which pumps cold-ish air out the windshield vents - this tends to feel feel cooler than I like.

I turn mine off auto and set the vents for upper and lower and she warms up quite nicely.

Make sure you have your fan speed set to Auto; when I 1st got the car, I thought the temp needed adjusting, until, I clicked on the fan speed on the Nav. screen, & changed the setting to Auto; works great now at 72*, synched; even in our NYC winter cold

I'm currently in a loaner RLX. The RLX at 74 feels like my TLX at 80. It's so weird.

This is what I do. I have a shortcut set for my preferred temp of 70 degrees with "bi-level" mode where the air blows from top and bottom. Things warm up just fine. I also have it set to recirculate the air with this shortcut.
