Fog Light Issue

I have a 3.5 Advance model that has standard led fog lights. Several times during slushy snow conditions the opening for the fog light assembly became packed with snow/slush, rendering the fog lights useless. As they are led, they do not generate enough heat to melt the accumulated snow/ice. Any suggestions as to how to keep that area snow free?

I know you meant this as a serious question... to keep them snow free don't drive in slushy snow conditions, or use your snow brush to clean them at every opportunity.

But seriously, the lights are more for esthetics rather than practical purposes. Have you found that they really make a difference in any conditions?

Maybe you can spray PAM on the lens, like you would for a snow blower and the auger.
Thank you

I'm surprised you haven't encountered a similar circumstance with the headlights; they too are LED and ice/snow doesn't easily melt off of them.

I live in Denver and on several occasions this winter, I've notice ice/snow accumulation on the headlights that wouldn't melt off. It negatively affected the light output noticeably too. It's not easy to get ice off of the headlights either. I'm thinking about buying that stuff in a spray can that melts ice on contact to use on the headlights.

Rain-X on them might help, too.

Umm clean them off???

Seriously, even on cars with headlight washers, I routinely clean off my headlights, sideview mirrors, rear glass, and front side windows using squeegees at the gas station, or paper towels at home when its snowy/slushy out.

What other option is there.
