EDIT: Make that 6 weeks

 

I just got mine back for the 3rd replacement of the driver's side.


It turns out that there was a recent bulletin put out to the dealers to look for a short in the circuit caused by some missteps in production for cars built before 1/1/15. The short was blowing the LED.


Mine had it - we'll see.

 

Fold my mirror at least 6-7 times a week, and I am still on my original bulbs as is my Wife's MDX. She doesn't fold her mirrors as often though. Definitely sounds like some kind of wire routing issue as was mentioned.

 

i have a ADV PKG and mine did the same thing. Took it back to the dealer and they replaced both leds. Driver was first then passenger about two weeks later.

Not sure what the cause was but good to go now.

 

My drivers burnt out when i had 1500 Km's on it, and my passengers just burnt out at 2000 Km's. It's the puddle lamp assembly and they didn't change or have to remove the mirror assembly. I hope it was just bad light assembly, I will keep an eye on it.

 

Is yours a 2015 or 2016?

I had problems with my passenger side puddle light ever since I bought the car. I took it to the dealer this past week, and they replaced the light (34261-TZ3-A02 LIGHT, R. PUDDLE). Workes great now!

 

just noticed my passenger side is out today.

 

It's definitely a known issue. I'm the parts manger at an Acura dealership in Ohio and we have seen upwards of 10 vehicles with them out, including my own. I have a 2021 TLX A-Spec SH-AWD, the driver side was out at 489 miles on 4/19, and this morning 5/6 my passenger side was out at 863 miles. The audio cracking/popping noise is also a known issue with not just the RDX but the TLX as well. There is no service bulletin out for the TLX currently but the MOST Bus Network Connectors for the RDX can be used on the TLX.
