Dome Lights Cycling On/Off

Have a week old 2015 TLX V-6 Advance - noticed in the last few days that when the car is locked, the inside dome lights and the side view mirror lights keep cycling on and off every 15-20 seconds. When the car is unlocked, this does not occur! Anyone hear about this or experience it?

I also have the V6 Advance, and I thought a while back I noticed my puddle lights on when I would go into the garage, but it was hard to know how often if ever it was actually doing it. I experimented with moving my remote to a location a little further away and it seemed to stop happening. Maybe your remote is close enough to "trick" the car into thinking you're approaching the door and then it's turning the lights on to welcome you. If this is a possibility, then try moving your remote around to a distance a little further away and see if that helps.

Again, I didn't really notice how many and even if it was really happening and not my imagination, but I haven't noticed the lights being on since that 1 time.

If all else fails, try to document with a video and any other pertinent information and give the dealer a call.

Problem solved - turns out the 2nd remote was in the house adjacent to the garage and apparently close enough to the car to effect it. Remotes were competing against each other. Thanks for your input.

I'm glad that was your problem. That's what it seemed to be in my case too, both remotes were near each other very close to the garage. After I moved the second remote I had no apparent issues.

That's why I love forums like this one, it allows us to pick the brains of members who may have had similar issues and perhaps quick and easy remedies.

I wonder if this would drain the battery enough to cause those issues with the 'Sensors Gone Wild"

Maybe the car's voltage drops and affects these systems when the car starts.
