so i took my car to get a few things panted somehow the rubers between the driver doors and passenger doors have a bunch of rips
as well as the rubber seals on the windows. i need help finding the names of these parts i was on oemacuraparts but everything is black and white
and has a bunch of other parts in the diagram that have a similar shape if anyone can chime in with some help its greatly appreciated.
Unsure what year or trim level, but I don't believe it really matters. Just make sure you select the correct year and trim. Based on your photos, these are my best estimates of what you're looking for.
For the windows that would be the molding which may be found here as either 1, 4, 7, and 10 depending on front/rear and right/left: Molding
For the rear door I believe it's the weatherstrip, take a look at 10 and 17 here: Rear Door Panels
I'm not sure if you're in an area that endures winters, but tears in those rubber seals often occur when the doors freeze to them. For example if you wash/rinse your car in the winter and park it overnight without opening the doors, the metal will freeze to the rubber. When you pull the doors open the next morning you'll feel the resistance and might even hear the rips occur. I learned this a few years back and what i do now in the winter is go around and open/close each door with a bit of force to clear the water from the seals.
Thanx guys really appreciate the help my car just recently got painted and I think they forgot to tape the weather strip and rest of the rubbers off when they sanded the car..that’s the only thing I can think would do that to them they were perfectly fine before
Did this seem to work (1,4, 7, and 10) for you? Do you think it will occur again?
