Battery replacement
2015 TLX, V6 fully loaded (no AWD) approx. 26,500 miles (second car) and it's all swell.
I would like to change my battery before it goes to it's resting place. At this moment its all fine.
Would like to know how I can change the battery (not by the dealer, Acura or Honda) and just do it myself without the potential of loosing all memory settings, etc.
Any suggestions on brand/capacity requirements?

I generally go to Costco and get their batteries. Can't beat the price/warranty. The CCA is pretty good too.

However, I used it when I had my old accord. I'm not sure if they stock the battery size for the TLX there. Also, this was before they switched to the Interstate branded batteries. They lessened the battery warranty on the Interstates.

Summer is Coming
I just use AutoZone. They make a version of a battery especially for hot climates like this. Haven't had an issue with it. I think the plates are slightly thicker and that seems to make the batter a little more reliable. Maybe a few less CCA but the car starts fine. I had issues with two earlier batteries. I have a small battery conditioner/charger and I connect it every now and then and top up the battery.

Make sure you guys are getting AGM batteries! These are required for newer cars with stop/start and will last much longer than traditional lead acid batteries.
