Hello all I recently got a brand new 2019 TLX. I have one problem, an interior alarm goes off almost every time I start the car. I say almost because it didn't go off when my service person had it. Anyways, I have a few videos of the issue and I wanted to see if anyone here had any idea as to what the problem is.

Is that aftermarket from the dealer? That doesn't sound like any kind of Acura/Honda alert that I've heard before.

 

From the video, it's definitely not an Acura factory feature. I suspect it's some sort of an insurance or financing - related thing or an ignition interlock mechanism.

 

No, this car was brand new from the dealer. It did have 100 miles on it. It was a dealer swap because it came with a different dealer's plates on it and they switched it out. If it's not an Acura feature, then do I have a beef with the dealer to get me a car that doesn't do that?

Yeah, you need them to figure out what the original dealer added to it before the dealer swap. Sounds like your dealer is being lazy not contacting the original dealer given you have video proof of the issue. Good luck. Let us know what they find.
