2015 ELS TSX Amp Wiring Issue?
2015 ELS TSX Amp Wiring Issue?
Hi all, on the outputs for my stereo amplifier, the power and ground [white and black} touched.
the harness plug for the outputs (stereo amplifier connector A(18p) was not attached to the amplifier. Does anyone know where the power and ground go to post, after, the stereo amplifier.?? They touched and shorted. Can’t test the audio.

Suggest you contact Jesse Kelley of Phantom Audio. He is an expert on Honda/Acura audio systems. If he doesn't know the answer, then it is likely that the answer doesn't need to be known, and he seems to be very willing to help folks. By the way, he offers a line of modified amplifiers for the Honda/Acura products. His specialty is tweaking the ELS system, so if you were thinking about upgrading your system you might consider working with him.
Quick story... earlier this summer I got the urge to upgrade my 2020 TLX with the ELS system. I didn't want overkill as I wanted to retain the overall stock condition and base functionality of the car (no amps in the trunk, add-in wiring, or non-stock speaker enclosures). However, I did want increased clarity of sound, and improved sound stage. I'm not a "thumper" so huge bass wasn't my goal. After talking with Jesse I settled on his premium upgraded amp, plus his custom Center and A pillar tweeters.
My hearing is so-so at best, so after about 5 weeks "burn in" time I asked my neighbor for his comments. Both he and his wife are retired concert musicians and he has worked with "names" such as Kenny Rogers and Nelson Riddle. As a matter of fact he and his wife just returned from playing at a wedding at a villa in Italy's Lake District. I didn't give him the whole story of what to expect because I didn't want to influence his thinking or comments. My source was the HDD unit. After about 10 minutes of misc songs he selected a few from the playlist. Halfway into Kenny Roger's "Ruby" a big grin showed up. He looked at me and held his two hands about about 6" apart (think "fisherman describing a small fish"). Then he motioned to the front speakers, nodded and spread his hands about 2 feet apart, indicating his approval of the sound stage. His comment? "The best car sound system that he'd heard" and he said the clarity of sound was really impressive.!!
I hope that whatever you do to your system meets your own goals and objectives.
