Hi All!
I apologize if I have not put this post in the correct thread.
I have a 2019 Acura TLX 3.5L A-Spec. I just purchased it and the rear "diffuser"/"Valance" is knicked up. I ordered and received a replacment and am going to install it.
My question is, do I have to remove the whole bumper cover to install the new part?
Please see the attached schematic for #14.

Did you find out how to get the diffuser off? Considering getting mine repaired/repainted and was curious as well.

 

I did! You have to take the whole back bumper off. You start by taking the screws at the bottom of the wheel well (7) in picture. Then there are I believe two clips (2) on the bottom of the diffuser. Also, there are is a screw on each side under the trunk by each tail light (3). Once you pull the bumper completely off, you will have to pry the clips holding the diffuser (14) and on the tailpipe valance (19) via clilps (20). The clips are really hard to undo. I broke one or two of them but there are so many, it still was held on tight. Reverse the uninstall to put everything back. It took me about 1.5 hours.
