Voice Prompts

Does anyone here know if there is a way to stop the audio system from saying the highlighted item of a menu? I recently configured Waze on my phone to announce directions and alerts over bluetooth instead of the phone's speaker. It works fine but every time Waze connects via bluetooth, the system displays the phone menu on the Navigation screen and says "Hang Up", which is the first item available in the phone menu, and talks over whatever Waze is saying. I doubled checked and I have "Voice Prompts" turned off in the car's settings and I couldn't find another option to try and stop the car from saying whatever was highlighted in a menu. It's really getting annoying and I'm hoping someone here might have a suggestion on what to try to silence my car.

Thanks!

If I remember right, it's a couple options below "Voice Prompts." Called something "Assist," I think. I'll look tonight, and update this post with the exact item.

The options are "Auto," "On," and "Off" You'll want Off.

Thank you for the reply. So far the only way I've found to stop the voice prompts is to turn the navigation volume done to zero. It's not my ideal solution but since I'm using Waze instead of Acura's navigation for voice directions I guess I'm not missing anything. I don't remember seeing a menu item for "Assist" but I'll look again tonight. Thanks!

Okay, I remembered a bit wrong. It doesn't say "Assist." Sorry for the mislead.

In the "Systems Settings" menu, under the "Sound/Beep" tab, the setting is called "Interface Dial Feedback." Turn that off, and it will stop reading the highlighted button.

(As I stated before, there are three settings: Off, On, and Auto. The first two are obvious, but by default, this is set to "Auto," which means it turns on when the car is moving.)
