I have a 2019 Advance and unfortunately I was holding my phone and driving with my left and couldn't change the temperature. I hit voice command and wanted to say set temp to 73 like how I used do in my 4g TL, but I can't do that?

 

Interesting... My 2007 RDX can control climate via voice recognition...

 

that seems kind of bizarre that they would remove that command through voice, since my 2004 TL was able to do that, and the 2015 thru 2018 can also do that. Maybe it just requires a different word command like "temperature 75" or "heat 75"?

 

I just searched through my manual, the only options that I have is navigation, phone and audio. That's it., opposed to below

 

In my RDX, I can say Radio or Volume... Climate Control, A/C, Heat, Temperature, ect... Only thing, it's WAY off half the time... I can say XM radio, then A/C goes off... Stuff like that... It's handy, I guess, but it's so slow to respond, it's nearly useless, but fun, nonetheless...

 

Yeah it appears to be gone. I used to be able in the TSXs or at least one of them that had navigation. My 19 tech only allows audio and navigation which is useless when you have Android Auto instead to use. I did notice that Bluetooth is not consistent. My phone has to manually be added every time, however Android Auto works every time I get in the car. It's just the phone call functions like on the cars speaker's not working.

 

Isn't that funny how they always seem to screw up the basic stuff...

 

I had a 2019 Acura MDX loaner yesterday and I couldn't while the Navigation was taking me back to the dealership ask it to "Find Nearest Gas Station." It refused to recognize my command, and just kept saying "Pardon." I also couldn't "Search" the Navigation by "Search by Name."

I have noticed that our '15 TLX, and '18 RLX Sport Hybrid have limitations, for example, "Rear Defrost On." This command no longer works on either car. My 2010 MDX it works fine.

I find the 15 & 18 have "limited" commands available, without first Telling it you want to do Navigation, Audio, Phone, or Climate control. You have to go through multiple screens to do simple things that both the 06./07 RL and 10 MDX do simply by giving it one basic command.

The '10 MDX and '18 RLX Navigations accept commands as soon as the car is started, (you can hear the HD running when you enter the car) before hitting the start button, however the TLX you have to wait 3-5 minutes before using any voice commands or you get the Message "Generating Voice Commands, try again later"
