TLX base - center console pics

I'm interested in the base TLX without the Tech/Nav package. My only concern is what does the upper display look like without the NAV screen?

Most of the audio/climate controls are shown in the lower display. So I'm wondering what would be shown in the upper display if there is no NAV screen. Is it only used for text messages?

If someone could post some pics of the non-NAV display, that would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Its the exact same as if you had Navi (without navi of course and probably not the same quality screen) but its just filler text for the most part but still useful and provides insight to what you are listening to without taking your eyes completely off the road. I will see if I can take a picture for you.

From my use, the top screen is used for:

-Current audio source track information
-Back up camera

Thanks Scooter. I just remember in my father-in-law's previous gen MDX, he didn't get the NAV option and the screen showed a useless compass on an old CGA monitor. I couldn't deal with that in my potentially new TLX.

But if the upper display is for backup camera, audio info, text messages, I could probably live with that.

Actually, I found a Youtube video that does show a base v6 TLX interior. If anyone is curious, it is the Redline review of the TLX.

No where near that. It actually has the same design flow and scheme as the lower screen. Looks amazing at night. You can even change the wallpaper and color scheme which is mirrored on both. Really sharp! They did a really good job blocking out the sunlight during the day on the upper screen, the screens are very bright and easy to see even in direct sunlight.

It'll also show the trip computer displays, clock, wallpaper. You could upload a photo of a Map for that "Navi look".....

Jay,
What's brand of phone holder is that? Does it work well with little shake? Does it block your air vent?
Thanks!

it's the Koomus air vent mount. $12 or so on amazon. It's very stable no shake at all. With the phone in it, it naturally blocks the vent a bit. Not bad at all and not noticeable. I love it... Very convenient and within arms reach

No... You have to manually activate the wallpaper. It doesn't show up automatically.

Not a terrible must have but I'm just assuming here then that this custom wallpaper feature is only available to the Tech trim and above and it doesn't apply to the base? I tried looking for it in my base manual but nada.
