Was there an actual hardware and/or software change to any of the Advance Package equipment since production started?


I thought I read a comment in one of the threads cautioning someone to check the production date on the car he was considering because something had been updated since the early production runs? ....and of course I couldn't find it when I looked for it. Thanks

 

There was a software upgrade to the OMG... er ODMD screen that added additional functionality. There were other changes as well, I posted a picture of the info several weeks ago.

Hi Randy4, Not sure if you were referencing my post, but ECM update is not listed anywhere but in the threads.

 

I called my dealer to make an appointment for the update, and was told it takes about 4 hours! Has anyone had this done yet, does it really take that long?

 

I had the software upgrade installed. I was at the dealer for about two hours and was able to leave with about 30% of the upgrade downloaded. The remaining 70% ran in the background to completion, as your vehicle is driven. The time that takes is dependent on how often you drive. It took me another couple of days to complete. The navigation screen shows the percentage of download remaining.

Thanks! It seems like the dealer wants me to leave the car there until the d/l is complete then. They offered a loaner but I'd rather not have to go back to return it. I'll see if they'll let me leave before the d/l is complete.
