IPhone text & email

Just got the IPhone SE: Phone & BT Audio work great; when you try to set-up texting or email, screen says that the phone is not equipped for that.
My BB Q10 worked flawlessly
Any settings suggestions, or other advice?

Update: according to the HandsFreeLink | Acura.com website, the IPhone CANNOT respond to text messages, through Acuralink; it CAN accept, & read them. Also, unlike my BlackBerry Q10, it CANNOT accept emails.
Just wish Apple , & Acura tech's, would be more aware, to counsel consumers, instead of blaming each other, for not working properly.

It's apple. They don't allow messaging via bluetooth.

You can use SIRI to dictate a response.

Defeats the purpose of the HFL; don't want to have to hold the IPhone

You dont have to hold the phone.

Press and hold the talk button and give Siri commands.

I use Siri all the time for texts. Just hold the steering wheel button for about three seconds, "she" will activate and after the beep you can ask for "last text received" and then respond to it. Other than "her" sometimes not getting the message exactly right the process works fine. I get the message received alert on the car screen, but it won't read it until I stop the car. Not that I want to read it while driving. I use the car's voice commands for navi and climate control and Siri for texts.

You can actually LISTEN to the message, if the audio is low or muted; but you can't read it, unless you're stopped
I just updated the IPhone SE software to IOS 10; hoping that the email, & text messaging issues clear up
Fingers XXXXX; NOT expecting miracles lol
