2018 TLX ASpec with iPhone 7+ and iOS 11.0.2
I didn't have the Bluetooth volume issue, I had the Phonebook issue and fixed it by manually turning off the auto sync and turning it back on. When I did that my Phonebook on the TLX populated with everything from my phone with names and my Call History showed all the names again. The Phonebook stayed intact after restarting the phone and the car a couple of times. Let's hope it stays. I'll report back if not. . .

That's weird. I just tried to make 3 different calls and the Phonebook remained each time. I then tried to turn off the car and start it back up. Phonebook is still there. I'll keep a look out if anything changes, but it appears mine is sticking so far.

That’s great for you :-) not so much for me :-(. Once I turn the car off or make a call or use voice recognition it all disappears. I pretty much have given up and will probably get an Android for my next phone.

i am having all the same problems as many of you are since upgrading to IOS 11. Pandora and phone book import issues are the main ones that I have noticed. I hope we have a fix soon!

Just wanted to chime in, I have an iPhone 8 (iOS 11.0.2), and tried everything to fix the phonebook issue, resetting network settings, all settings, factory restore without backup. Nothing works, and the Apple technician I talked to over the phone said this is a common issue he'e been seeing. I'm only seeing bluetooth connecting and disconnecting. The Apple technician said this is because software on the phone is crashing when doing some exchange with the car, and it restarts and connects.
Huge headache... this needs a fix. It's not Acura's side, it's Apple's.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents worth. I'm not entirely convinced this all Apple's fault. I just got a new iPhone 8+ and I'm experiencing the same phonebook import issues as others have reported. When I first paired the phone with my 2015 TLX, the entire phonebook synced up with the car. The next time I started the car, only 3 out of 105 contacts showed up in the phonebook. Also I've seen the bluetooth connection with the car randomly disconnect and then reconnect while driving. However, I also paired my iPhone with a Pioneer AVIC-4200NEX head unit that's in my MR2 and it has worked flawlessly every time. I've driven the MR2 multiple times and each time I've verified that the entire phonebook has synced and I've never seen the bluetooth connection fail once. I don't what the differences are between how these 2 head units handle the bluetooth connection but only my TLX is having issues.

Ios 11.0.2
Once again, my 2015 TLX/SH-AWD/Tech, syncs flawlessly, with my IPhone 64GB SE/TMobile
I'm starting to think that maybe , it depends on the service provider
Checked my 200+ contacts, 3 or 4 times over the weekend; PERFECT!
The BT call reception, & BT Audio, are ideal
Don't know if it's Apple, or the providers, but I'm happy

This is not a CarPlay problem. The problem is when using a Bluetooth connection and using the Acura Hands Free Link Bluetooth phone features with iOS 11.

exactly it is only via bluetooth, anyways I won't be updating my iPhone 7 to iOS 11, luckily I still got 10.3.3 on my main driver. I contacted apple support and they are clueless, and they're blaming the car stereo of not being compatible with iOS 11 which is bullshit. I'm very sure the bug happens because the way iOS 11 handles bluetooth.

I did more experimenting today, this time pairing my iPhone 8+ with my wife's 2016 Audi. I found that everything worked perfectly and all the contacts in my phonebook imported correctly and remained synced with the car no matter how many times I shut off and restarted the car. I've now paired my iPhone with 3 different head units and the only car that has bluetooth issues is my 2015 TLX.

hmm interesting. not sure what to make of this. either way all my issues started as soon as I updated the IOS. Maybe Acura needs to update their firmware which I don't see happening anytime soon.

2016 TLX advance
Same problem. Once I updated to iOS 11 on my iPhone 7 phone book does not sync. I purchased the iPhone 8 same issue even after the iOS 11 updates.
On my Jeep Renegade and my wife’s Volvo XC60 all contacts sync and stay synced. Then I tried syncing with the Bluetooth on my dad’s Subaru Forster and my brothers Mercedes ML and it works perfect.
Acura is the only vehicle that I know of from speaking to friends who updated to iOS 11 that have a problem. Good thing my TLX is a lease and goes back in a year.

This is likely correct! I have not yet checked the BlueTooth Hands Free... but, I'm curious: Does the Hands Free system offer any features that are not also provided via CarPlay?
#65
Yes, it is wireless! That's the single biggest advantage that I can think of. Also, please recall that CarPlay is new to the 2018 model year. Most owners do not have CarPlay.

IOS 11.0.3/2015 Acura TLX/Tech
Last night, after starting the engine, only SOME of my contacts were synched
Turned the car completely OFF; DELETED my IPhone, & turned OFF Bluetooth
Upon re-installing EVERYTHING, the same problem persists
Weird, because IOS 11.0.2 was fine
Of course, Acura blames Apple, & vice-versa
Suggestions?

I suggest that others file a BugReport, too. You can use your AppleID to file the report (even though it is technically for developers). The more that file, the more likely it will be to be noticed.

Just got off the phone with them; blame game on Apple; no immediate fix
They claim that Apple IS AWARE of the problem; we'll see
Not a MAJOR headache, because, I can utilize Siri, through AcuraLink, to call any of the 200+ #'s in my phone
Just a minor nuisance

Well, I have filed a formal BugReport with Apple. (Not saying that they have responded to it yet).

Hi,
I'm having the same phonebook/contacts issue on my 2013 Honda Accord. This all started when I upgraded my iPhone 7 to iOS 11. Now, I'm on 11.0.3 and the issue has not been fixed. What I find most puzzling is, my iPhone 6 works perfectly and it's running iOS 11.0.3. Is the bluetooth hardware different in the iPhone 7? I don't get it. I haven't done a factory reset because, from what I see on this forum, I'm not the only one. I also see it's happening on the iPhone 8. What a pain.

I have the same issue as everyone else on this thread as far as syncing contacts/phone book is concerned. IOS 11.0.3, iPhone 6s, 2015 Acura MDX Elite package! Apple needs to fix this issue as it was working fine prior to IOS 11 update! I don’t think Acura will update their firmware.

I have the same problems. I updated to IOS 11 and lost my phonebook and voice commands for bluetooth for my 2016 RDX. My lease was up last week and I leased a 2108 RDX. Same problem.
I went to teh Apple store in teh mall and they were no help whatsoever. Acknowledged the issue but had no solution.
