ELS Audio System Bass

Hey all, so I recently rode in an F30 with the HiFi sound system and I couldn't help but notice how good the bass was while listening to rap. It was very punchy and had an aggressive bass tone that seemed to come from the mid range that was also tight. The bass tone did not sound like the deep bass you would get from a normal car. It was not muddy in the low end whatsoever. Here's where my question comes in. I drive an acura as of now (getting a BMW next) and I have been trying to replicate that bass in my car but I haven't been able to.There is no equalizer in my car but I have messed with the settings and still have not been able to achieve this sound. I even messed around with the equalizer on spotify and I got it to punch a bit but I still haven't gotten that full on tight aggressive mid range bass tone, instead i'm still stuck with a sound system that seems to only catch low end frequencies the best and does not bring out that strong mid bass sound. Any help is appreciated!
