Display/hide Traffic Speeds

The navigation manual and the Voice Help list shows this as a command. I cannot get the system to recognize this command, and it registers as "Display/hide Traffic Flow". There does not seem to be a way to manually change it. But more important is what does it do?

p.127:
Hide Traffic Flow
- ENTER button (on map) > Hide Traffic Flow
Hide the traffic flow indicator on the map screen. Press the ENTER button and select
Display Traffic Flow to display the traffic flow indicator on the map screen.

Is that what you need?

I believe it shows the solid or dashed lines, which have been explained in other threads and in the manual (dashed=based on typical prior data)

I think you re-routed this thread.

Display/Hide Traffic Speed was something I hoped they added to the NAV. It would display the local speed limit. It was helpful to glance to see speed instead of looking around for a speed limit sign.

I tried the "traffic speed" command a few weeks ago and did not see any results. I was about to ask the same question.

I believe we are talking about two different things. Traffic Speed is not the same as traffic flow.

You could have good flow with a green line, but the traffic speed limit is not known.

I was hoping the traffic speed would be displayed somewhere perhaps with a graphic icon such as a speed limit sign, like I get with my Garmin..

I am only talking about Traffic Speed. I do not know what it is, cannot activate it via voice command and there does not seem to be a way to manually select it.

Interesting that it's available in the manual as well as in the nav itself (in the help) but I tried it as well, and it just assumes you mean "traffic flow".

Does anyone think it means speed limits? My Lexus sometimes shows them.

I think that's what most of us are thinking, but the fact it's in the manual and the nav itself is weird. Didn't previous gen TL's show speeds? I thought SiriusXM traffic did show speeds on older TL's, but I'm unsure about the last gen TL's AcuraLink.

I had both a 2004 and 2008 withe Navi and neither showed speed limits on Canada. My wife's Mazda 6 (2015) does. Go figure.

My 2008 TL (U.S.) doesn't show speed either, but mt wife's Infiniti does on major highways. It is a nice feature.
