TLX/SH-AWD/Tech

Is it just me, or mine, or does the back-up image appear blurry, compared to my '12/TL/Tech, or'09/TL/Tech?
Thoughts?

 

I have a TLX Tech and notice that the image quality is no where near as clear as my 2012 TSX Tech or my friend's 2012 TL Tech. It seems as if the camera has been downgraded.

 

I've noticed it too. Not so much during the day thankfully, but when it gets darker out the image becomes very blurry & grainy.

 

I am not surprised....My 2012 TL's camera was amazing! super crisp but the one in our former 2013 RDX was crappy and the one in our 2014 ILX is so so as well. It is ironic that the quality of the backup camera is getting worse in Acura when the technology should be getting better and cheaper....

 

and the camera on the 2014/2015 MDX is a million times worse than the TLX. I've had two loaner MDX's and the camera is reallllllllllllllllly bad

 

The camera in my 2012 was way better than in my TLX. Has anyone considered trying to swap cameras?

 

I find the camera comparable to my 2012 TSX Tech, but then I went a year only driving my 14 Altima, which is decidedly less crisp than the TLX. Regardless, I find it more than adequate.

 

The camera on my 14 EXL was much crispier than the one on my TLX .... I don't get it .....

 

Same here except I had a 13 EXL. Clearly they sourced from a different provider.

For some reason my camera gets dirty (and thus nearly worthless) more often than the one on my EXL. I've gotten in the habit of wiping it off with a wet finger in the morning before heading out to work to keep it usable.
