Is AGM battery required for auto idle stop on SH-AWD

Was traveling and battery died on 2015 SH-AWD. Went into an NTB in the town I was driving through, and they replaced with an Interstate 760 CA battery. It’s not AGM.

When I got home I did some research and looks like AGM is recommended, but is it required?

Anyone with experience either way?

If you use the idle start feature you should have the AGM battery If you are like so many that immediately push the Idle Start Off Button, then you certainly can get by without an AGM battery. Don't be afraid that if you forget to push the button once in a while your battery will go down. It won't. The AGM battery is designed for continual and constant idle start stop with harm to the battery. NOTE: Being that the battery is so new, you should be able to contact Interstate and exchange the battery for an AGM battery. I also drive a 2015 and replaced my OEM battery with a Sam's Club AGM Duracell battery brand for $159.76.
