Acuralink Streams, AHA
Acuralink Streams, AHA
When using Acuralink streams app to play AHA channels I get the current track and artist name on first linkup but afterwards never updates as additional tracks play. If I switch to a different AHA station then switch back I get the updated info, but again it never updates afterwards. Same for switching to a different audio input and back. I'm using an iPhone 6 for the Acuralink Streams app.
Anyone else experience the same, or does it work ok for you?
As a bonus question, does anyone know of a way to permanently provide permission for the car radio to access the iPhone Acuralink Streams app? Most times (but inexplicably not EVERY time) I get in the car my phone requires me to unlock and provide permission to the app to stream, otherwise I get a "cannot connect" error.

Androids don't require permission. Juatbthey won't pick up half the stations via acuralink. Going straight to AHA's app works fine. I have spoken to Acura CR. They deny the issue. aha CR says it is all acuras doing.
I'm having similar issues with my 2016 RDX Tech and an iPhone 6. The Acuralink App works fine and plays my favorite stations outside the car. But once I'm linked to the car, it refuses to play anything other than NPR Headlines. I'm stumped on how to switch stations. I waited on hold for 30 minutes with Acura Client Relations and gave up.
Pandora works fine, but not Aha.

I am using an HTC One M9 with Lollipop 5.02 and the only thing that works with Streams is Smooth Jazz. None of the podcasts work on Aha but some of the music stations do. It worked sort of OK on my M7 with KitKat. I have written to Aha and spoken with Acura who were elevating my problem. No one has gotten back to me.
I received no reply from Aha or Acura, either. I have had no luck at all switching Aha stations while my iPhone was connected via bluetooth. However, when I attached the phone via USB cable, I was able to switch stations using the Aha App on the phone instead of the Acuralink App. Because this method prevents me from leaving my iPod Classic attached via USB, I'm pretty much done trying to make Aha work properly.

Aha has done a couple of updates in the last week and I find that the Aha app now works fine on the phone. I can set the Aha app to the podcast I want to hear and stream it by Bluetooth to the car for all stations. However, Streams still does not work except it sometimes plays the SmoothJazz station.
Well Streams started working with Aha on my HTC One M9 this week. The Streams was not updated but I did download Sense 7.0 which I would not have expected to rectify the situation. In any event, the app now works well with my TLX and so far I have not had any problems with it. Finally!
