I got my roof rack and box put on today.
I notice a lack of pictures or anything really for the 5G TLX so I'm posting some here.

 

 

Well it matches the car and doesn't look terribly bad. Looks like you really wanted an A-Spec. Threw me off at first on what I was looking at.

 

^I believe OP has a Canadian TLX, which is an authentic a-spec package pre-face lift. It includes a lip kit, trunk lip, wheels, and those tiny a-spec badges.

 

Looks like what was called the GT package here pre A-Spec but thought that was just front/back spoiler add-ons, side skirt and trunk lid spoiler (usually post factory dealer adds). He also has the A-spec wheels and badging. Was not aware that package with wheels and badging existed. Threw me of. Definitely much nicer than the typical TLX prior to 2018.

Looks good, i'll be picking up a box at some point myself. As OP noted, not many pics of racks (roof racks) on this forum so I wanted to share my setup. I went with the Inno Aero rack/mounts:

Ok, I've seen pics like this popping up on IG. Can someone explain what's the big deal of adding a rack and storage box on a TLX?

 

For hauling cargo as the name implies, duh.

In all seriousness though. I added a rack so I could schlep my bikes around and add a snowboard attachment for the winter season. The box will be primarily for my wife's CRV and also be able to be thrown on my car when needed for trips to the beach etc. I don't know about you but I'd rather load up all the sandy wet crap in the box rather than inside the car. Also, if you have kids I'm sure you are well aware of how much stuff you need to take everywhere. Having additional room makes life much simpler than having to play tetris in the trunk.

But there's been a trend of the rack/storage box in TLX pics on IG that no poster has explained why.
