And if they are serious go to a 310 HP 3.7 or something. to bump the HP and torque up.
That would be amazing...

A lot of the review seem to be panning the FWD V6, but I'm curious how bad of a drive it really is. I'm still eying a FWD V6 Tech as it hits all the price points, has better rims and some cool touches like the 8-way power passenger seat and no shifter. Plus, I'm thinking if I keep it 5+ years, it will make a great car over time...not just short term driving excitement which won't last as I age a bit...plus it might be the last "practical" V6 in a compact car due to EPA requirements...next car after that might have to be electric (Tesla) or something else. 34 MPG on highway isn't bad either and beats most of the competitors with V6's. Hopefully the lack of demand for the FWD V6 will mean there will be some bargaining room.

I don't think the term "panning" is necessarily fair, however there is an agreement that it is simply not the best driver's car of the bunch. That being said, if you want the V6, go for it. 290 HP is nothing to scoff at.

By panning it, they don't mean its a bad drive. They just mean the i4 is the better feeling of the two, and provides more control, better weight distribution and an overall better experience. The V6 is still good

Hey guys, just became a member so it's my first time posting. I plan to get a Black copper/Espresso trim 4cyl tech in probably about 7-8 months when my current lease gets closer to maturing. It seems that after the bulk of the reviews, the 4cyl with its 8 speed DCT seems to be the best bet for an all around good package.

I cancelled the v6 tech and ordered the i4 tech copper black / parchment. It has a build date of 8/15.

One can't help but wonder how many of these TLX's are already sold before hitting the dealer lots.

My guess is within 4-6 weeks the lots will have plenty.

It's not that I didn't like it. Hard to give all of the reasons behind it (because there are many), but I prefer to have the DCT vs. the slushbox (which hasn't gotten glowing reviews when mated to Chrysler products either). I have a 45mi commute each way on the Washington Beltway and I95 and am over the stoplight drags. Besides, I prefer to put the $5k I save into the race car and have a more lithe vehicle when I take a student out on track.

Not for me.
It's not a bad car overall, but they played it safe.

I do wish the 4cyl had the Advance package (or at least ventilated seats). I'll likely wait a bit. MDX already filled the want for a 6 cyl, but I do want a better DD than my current (old old) truck.

Add an actual shift knob and I'm sold. If they do end up doing this, I hope they make it just one trim (fully loaded) and not at all the current tiers.

My 3G 05 TL is running well with 95K, intend to keep it another 10+ years so I'm not looking. However my father-in-law's g/f totaled her 05 TL last month. I tried to get her to wait to look at a 2015 TLX to no avail, she also looked at a Accord and got a nice deal on a V6 EX-L w/o Nav. She couldn't wait and is very pleased with the Accord. Hard choice since the amount of feature overlap was great and the TLX 4 cylinder was priced about the same list price.
