Who's getting a TLX and which one?
I would expect fascias more closely resembling the prototype, I then would expect sportier wheels, brakes and suspension tuning. A thicker steering wheel as the TLX pics look like it got skinny. Also metal pedals, and some interior highlights, maybe sportier more bolstered seats and maybe some contrast stitching. The 3G Type-S features really made it a sweet car, I see them on the road still and smile every time I see one, subtle differences that somehow made the car look a lot nicer to me. And if they are serious go to a 310 HP 3.7 or something. to bump the HP and torque up.
That would be amazing...
A lot of the review seem to be panning the FWD V6, but I'm curious how bad of a drive it really is. I'm still eying a FWD V6 Tech as it hits all the price points, has better rims and some cool touches like the 8-way power passenger seat and no shifter. Plus, I'm thinking if I keep it 5+ years, it will make a great car over time...not just short term driving excitement which won't last as I age a bit...plus it might be the last "practical" V6 in a compact car due to EPA requirements...next car after that might have to be electric (Tesla) or something else. 34 MPG on highway isn't bad either and beats most of the competitors with V6's. Hopefully the lack of demand for the FWD V6 will mean there will be some bargaining room.

By panning it, they don't mean its a bad drive. They just mean the i4 is the better feeling of the two, and provides more control, better weight distribution and an overall better experience. The V6 is still good

Hey guys, just became a member so it's my first time posting. I plan to get a Black copper/Espresso trim 4cyl tech in probably about 7-8 months when my current lease gets closer to maturing. It seems that after the bulk of the reviews, the 4cyl with its 8 speed DCT seems to be the best bet for an all around good package.
It's not that I didn't like it. Hard to give all of the reasons behind it (because there are many), but I prefer to have the DCT vs. the slushbox (which hasn't gotten glowing reviews when mated to Chrysler products either). I have a 45mi commute each way on the Washington Beltway and I95 and am over the stoplight drags. Besides, I prefer to put the $5k I save into the race car and have a more lithe vehicle when I take a student out on track.

My 3G 05 TL is running well with 95K, intend to keep it another 10+ years so I'm not looking. However my father-in-law's g/f totaled her 05 TL last month. I tried to get her to wait to look at a 2015 TLX to no avail, she also looked at a Accord and got a nice deal on a V6 EX-L w/o Nav. She couldn't wait and is very pleased with the Accord. Hard choice since the amount of feature overlap was great and the TLX 4 cylinder was priced about the same list price.
