Who's getting a TLX and which one?

Okay, so the reviews are in and they are good.

I'm pretty confident that I will be getting a TLX because it is the right combination of comfort, sport, technology, size, and price. I just need to go drive one to confirm I fit right and that I'm happy with the drive.

I'm kinda torn between getting the 2.4 TLX with Tech, or going all out for an Advance package SHAWD. There's features in each package that I want. I like cooled seats, premium audio, adaptive cruise, and POWER. The 2.4 tech is clearly the value champ and that appeals to my practical side, but the V6 is hard to ignore as I'm a huge fan of power. And once I'm looking at a V6 model, I should probably get the AWD as getting the power down is my biggest issue with my GTI I have now. And once I get SHAWD I might as well just get the Advance package since I have really really wanted adaptive cruise for a long time. The price kinda snowballs once past that 2.4 tech.

The price difference is high between my two choices, but the overall price and maintenance is still pretty low compared to the other cars I was considering like a 3 series, a lightly used S4, ATS, Volvo V60, or the Chevy SS (yes I know quite a different car but it's awesome except for 22 MPG highway)

Are you planning on a TLX, which package, and what is your rationale?

I love the reviews right now, but I'm not in the market. I would pray for a 2.4 L SH-AWD model, but right now the 2.4 would be good enough for me.

That being said, if the MMC is a 2.0T, I would likely change my tune.

Not in the market right now either (still love the 07 for at least one more year), but I likewise would be torn between the i4 Tech (great value) and the V6 Advanced with SHWAD. I live in CT and am sick of sliding around so really want the AWD but the reviews of the performance and value of i4 sound great.

Guess I should be happy to have a couple of good Acura choices! At least I am stuck between picking between the two TLX models and not looking at A3/A4 or Lexus anymore.

I'm getting the Silver/Ebony 4 cylinder (non tech) - pre-ordered a couple weeks ago and anxiously awaiting its arrival after reading all these positive reviews and seeing the great pics. While I'd like to get the tech package, the $4,000 extra is a bit tough for me. The main benefits from the tech package for me would only be the premium leather and better sound system. I don't care much for the safety features - would likely find them annoying. And I use my phone for navigation - as it's turned out to be more reliable and up to date than what I had in my 09 TSX (even when I religiously purchased the new Acura DVD every year).

Being in Canada , I'll go with V6 AWD (probably Elite one) . My TL is 5 years old now and I start looking. The remote starter makes me want it before winter , but again the drive test will be moment of get it or "will see" .

My 2012 TSX Tech lease ends in March. The residual is 21.5K and they were only going to give me 19K on trade-in which is in top condition. I'll likely wait until lease maturity or at least a neutral situation. By then, the advance purchase promotion will be over but maybe they'll have some other incentives or be selling below MSRP.

I would really like to see the new slate silver metallic in person with either graystone or ebony interior. I'm also hoping they will do something about the 4-cyl stock wheels which so many of us dislike... the $1,200 estimate to upgrade to the 18" wheel seems excessively high.

I've ordered an SH-AWD Advance in Graphite Luster Metallic / Graystone. I drove the V6 FWD Advance in the same color configuration on Saturday morning and I really loved it. I was so tempted to just take it, but I figured I'd probably regret it in a few months, so I'll just wait.

White/Ebony, thinking of doing SH-AWD with advanced package.

Hey, what have you guys heard for the V6 SH-AWD ETA? My dealer just called a few minutes ago and said they got the 4cyl but it would be a few more months before they get the SH-AWD. I have no interested in ever owning a FWD vehicle again, so I'm not even going to bother with a test drive

TLX Advance (FWD) Slate Silver/Graystone or Bellanova White/Espresso. Will probably wait one more year though.

I've had my '04 5AT for 10 years and 225,000+ trouble-free miles. Not only has my TL been reliable, but I love the bang for the buck you get with Acura.

I think the 5G looks terrific in front. The back isn't close to my 3G in looks, but it's a big upgrade to the 4G and I can live with it.

I'm waiting for my dealer to call me for a test drive, but I'm sure I'll like the way the car handles. My car is Anthracite/Ebony, but this time I will probably go with the Slate Silver Metallic/Ebony with Tech.

....sticking with my current ride. The Sh-AWD Advance does look like an attractive package. I wasn't a big fan of the 3G when it first came out either, but who knows, MMC refinements might work for me, but so far far my mind is focused in another direction vehicle wise.

I selected the L4/Tech in Basque Red w/Parchment on 7/4 that was part of the original dealer order. I changed the color to Slate Silver w/Greystone but was told it would have to be ordered and would not see it before October. I would love to add the LED fog lights and upgrade the wheels but can not justify doing that to a leased car.

I have an SH-AWD on order and the General Manager of the dealership told me it looks like it will be October before they receive the AWD models.

No moves until the release of the 2016 Model. At that time, my plan is a BWP/Ebony, SH-AWD Advance.

Would be nice if Acura would update the Build & Price tool for the TLX. Yes, we know the pricing but I'd like to see the color combinations, rim options, etc.

Finally starting to see some pictures of the espresso interior, that looks really good.

The profit margins on the Base TLX are soooo slim when I look this up. They must really be hoping for upsells to the other trims.

i'd go for a P-AWS V6 Advance; but if the SH-AWD can be had for a good deal, i'd take that one too.

I am in the market for a new vehicle, and the TLX is on my short list.

If I go with the TLX, it will be the V6 SH-AWD Elite trim (Advance in the States) here in Canada. I need the SH-AWD here in Calgary!

It's probably white/espresso or silver/black. However, I need to see the real car before deciding.

I guess they have to get their brand out there. If this is successful combined with the RDX, MDX, Acura will be on the upswing. I'm afraid I don't know how automotive marques make money.

I am going to go for the BWP with Tech (Canada....Elite is not necessary for me, nor is the SH-AWD where I drive mine on dry roads only). I am torn between the V6 or the I4....I hate the idea of a non shifter.

I will drive both but right now, my gut feeling tells me I'll end up with a V6 P-AWS TECH with Bodykit (in BWP).

If I am underwhelmed with the car, it will be an ILX 2.4L Dynamic with bodykit.

For me, its not about the cost of the vehicle but how it looks....I need to love the TLX (and eventhough I love my TL, its amazing how many compliments the ILX gets compared to the TL)

I'm going for a Slate Silver Metallic/Ebony V6 SH-AWD Advance. It's going to be quite a difference compared to my current '08 V6 Accord Sedan.

I would be interested in a Type-S if they release it, will test drive SH-AWD Advance to see in a few months, but may be waiting or looking into 15 Genesis.

Just curious, but how would a Type-S differ from the current selections?

To answer the OP, from the looks of it, I'll be getting one. I still haven't decided which one or even what color combo. It'll more than likely be a V6 model. The torque steer/wheel spin of the FWD version kind worry me, but ... eh, living in the South and hardly getting any ice/snow and sitting in traffic most of the time, I'm not sure I'd exercise AWD enough to warrant getting (or even finding) one down here. I also am not decided on the Tech or Advance package.

I'm looking to get one in the next 2 or 3 months, probably. Hopefully these things don't start going up in flames on the side of the road or something. lol.

2.4 base + aftermarket wheels + fogs (found some OZ I really like)... Figure about $1800 for 18" with tires mounted.
Or
2.4 tech and be pissed about the wheels but enjoy the doodads.

Budget tops out at tech price.

Leaning towards BCP with espresso. Test driving in 2 weeks.

I haven't seen one or driven it yet... but everything is pointing to this as my next car. I'd be all over the I4 Advanced.... but they didn't make this version. The I4 Tech is a good value, but I really want some of the convenience features of the Advanced. So I may need to bite the bullet and the extra cost and go for the V6 Advanced. But I'll probably wait until I can get one near $40K. That was my self imposed limit on my next car. Still need to retire someday and I can't eat a car and the trunk is not big enough to sleep in.

I would expect fascias more closely resembling the prototype, I then would expect sportier wheels, brakes and suspension tuning. A thicker steering wheel as the TLX pics look like it got skinny. Also metal pedals, and some interior highlights, maybe sportier more bolstered seats and maybe some contrast stitching. The 3G Type-S features really made it a sweet car, I see them on the road still and smile every time I see one, subtle differences that somehow made the car look a lot nicer to me. And if they are serious go to a 310 HP 3.7 or something. to bump the HP and torque up.

I am considering trading in my '09 TSX for a 2.4L TLX Tech.
