Type-S MT unlikely?

I'm not sure if this article has been posted...

I read that story too and although I would want to think we'd see a stick back in an Acura....I think those days are gone.

It sucks because I wanted my first new new car to be a TLX types manual but I'm most likely going to settle with a 07-08 tl types manual.

I'm doubtful about another Acura manual, but if they DO release a TLX Type-S with a VTEC Turbo, we might see one b/c IIRC the 8DCT can only handle 200 lb.-ft., and I don't think Type-S buyers would want a conventional automatic. Maybe they would upgrade the 8DCT, or adapt the 7DCT from the RLX SH-AWD that can obviously handle more torque.

Do they have the same tranny problems as the TLX?

It's a weird article really. At no point does anyone from Honda or Acura say anything. I'm assuming they talked to a spokesperson from Acura. But when they do that they usually have some boilerplate comment about how they don't discuss future products.
