TLX Build & Price now on Acura.ca!

WOW! I am so excited to see that on the Acura Canada website, you can now build and price the TLX!

http://acura.ca/tlx#/tlx/pricing

The lease rate and residuals are VERY ATTRACTIVE indeed! My goodness, this is very good news.

The only thing that really bothers me is that, if you go with the Black Copper colour in Canada, apparently, you cannot get the Espresso interior now. Only if you go with white or black can you get that colour here. That is a bummer...

Now, I can't wait to see the US Build & Price page to see whether you can get the Espresso with the Black Copper....

Thanks for the heads up!

It seems like the Canadian division is ahead of the game when it comes to the TLX. I wonder what is the holdup for the US side...

Also, the "official" specs list on Acura.ca confirms that most of the data shown on TLXthrill.com is correct. Most importantly, the interior dimensions and volumes listed on Acura.ca are the same as those that we have seen on TLXthrill.com

I guess they weren't typos after all...

A move in the right direction by Acura Canada. And if you download the TLX Info sheet you will see the mysterious Espresso interior color. Very dark brown.. darker than I thought. Will be great to see it in person.

Thanks, Weather! Yes, Treblig, anything with the Tech or Elite package will have both heated rear seats and heated steering wheels in Canada, including the 4 cylinder and V6 models.

Before anyone in the States says it's not fair, please, I would trade these features for your warmer climate.... LOL!

We're having a cooler summer this year. Come on down - it's only going to hit 100+ with a heat index around 105-110 a few times this year.

Heated steering wheel is one of those things I really don't need. Hopefully Acura took that into consideration when doing the pricing, as well. lol.

You can build and price on Edmunds too - although the color choices and images aren't showing up yet.

If only anything with Tech or Advanced had ventilated seats.... It is still a 'cold biased' world out there.

I have been pleading with Honda/Acura for more standard heated wheels in Canada. If the must persist with these stupid touch screens, in cold climates they become obligatory - as they don't work with gloves - apart from the special conductive ones. So glad they are realising. What's with the windshield deicer btw?

That all said it was over 100 here in central BC yesterday - glad my TSX has cloth seats...

100+F and it's "COOLER" this summer!? ROTFLOL! We are at 28C today (which is about 82F) and I am already feeling a bit too HOT. LOL!

No wonder why you don't need heated steering wheel.... ha!

It's funny that with the RLX and TLX, the US and Canadian pricing difference is pretty minimal. However, with the MDX, oh my goodness, you really get to pay much more in Canada. Maybe the MDX is such a huge seller up here that Acura thinks that they'd better take advantage of the situation and do some price gouging, huh? LOL

BTW, has any Canadian heard from their dealership yet about the Canadian TLX promotional plans, such as the 2 year no charge maintenance plans? Nothing from my dealership yet...

I noticed that upper trim levels give you the choice between perforated and smooth leather. This seems like a mistake right? I can't imagine them giving people the option of this on upper trims, and why would you want it in any case?

Yeah, I was wondering why too. I don't know!?

There are a few things that don't make sense there actually. Apart from this leather option that does not make sense, the other item that does not make sense is the choice of colours. The base i4 and SH-AWD TLX have only 4 colours to choose from. Then the middle of the range ones have 7, including red. However, once you get to the Elite trim, you only have 6 left (red is not an option). That makes no sense to me whatsoever! Not sure if this is just because early production TLX does not have the full range of choices for these things, or whether Acura Canada feels that their middle of the range models will be the best sellers, so they have the most colour choices? Weird.

Yes, Don1, I just got that today too.

Is that all they are offering in Canada!? I was hoping that the e-mail will tell us about other programs, too... LOLOL

Aha! It looks like Acura.ca has updated its site. Now it looks like apart from the base TLX (i4) and the base TLX V6 which will both only have 4 colours to choose from (white, black, grey, silver - YAWN) all the other models will have the additional colours of Black Copper, Blue, and Basque Red II. So I guess these must be from the more "premium" colour palette LOL.

Curiously, if you go with Black Copper, you will have the option of black and parchment interior for the Elite model. However, for the other models that offer Black Copper, they will only get the black interior. So, if you see a Canadian Black Copper TLX with parchment interior, then it is the most expensive TLX Elite model!!! WOW, Acura is so subtle about these clues.... LOL

BTW, the site fixed the issue with the perforated or non-perforated leather choice for the Elite model. I guess they must have heard our comments... ha ha ha...

I find it hard to believe the U. S. version will come with so few interior color choices. For instance, Graphite Luster comes only with black interior? What?

I've had TL's (and now an RLX) with Graphite Luster and the light grey interior (Stone or whatever they call it). You can't make me take another black interior.

Acura will never get it. Their competitors offer many choices in color combos.. and they wonder why they are getting stomped? The MDX can only carry them so far.

I wonder if some of the limitations are to keep the cost down and to make it easier for a dealer to,have what someone wants in stock? Also helps them keep the costs down and since they are clearly looking to offer so much for the money.
