Still Night Blue and Red Interior?

Have you seen a Still Night Blue ASpec with red interior? What do you think?

I'm debating on this or Ebony but think it might not go well. I love red interiors and blue exteriors, but not sure of both together with that "Superman" look. I could only find a couple pics and videos with this combo.

I actually LOVE that Acura is finally offering interesting interior colors like this bright red color and if I was buying a TLX there would be no chance in hell I wouldn't get this interior. I actually don't mind the blue on red at all, yes it is a superman theme but with that being said, it really suits the car and actually looks really good regardless of preconceived notions. I say go for it, you'll have a really unique car.

I think that's a great combo. However, in my search, 9/10 blue A-Specs have the ebony interior and that's what I went with.

I'm partial to the white with red interior. But I still think the blue looks good.

Just make sure you spend at least some actual test seat time in both. There is a big difference in feel between the (black) suede upholstered seats and the (red) leather.

Get the red. It would have been cool to see some red stitching along the dash too. I say go for it. In 5 years there won't be many on the road and in 10 someone will be driving a unicorn. lol

Funny you mention that, the only Blue/Red combo that came up yesterday was in Dayton. Not sure how far that is from you.

Interesting, never occurred to me that would be noticeable. Thanks.

I must admit... I don't really like the blue with red interior. The red is too bright to really look good with the bright blue. If it was more of a wine red, it would likely work.

Every time you open the door, it looks like the police are in front of you

10/10 for blue with black interior, though.

I love the red leather in my BMW. Glad to see Acura starting to add more interior colors, since red leather is one of my favorites. The Superman combo looks pretty sweet to me!

The red interior looks redder in photos than it actually is. There's a hint of burgundy that doesn't come across in the photos. I think red with blue would require tinted windows to sort of provide for a clean separation between the exterior and interior. I thought I would like the blue, but it was way too bright for my old tired eyes. It practically glows.

I like the Still Night Blue Pearl. And I like the red interior. But together? I don't know. Each color is fighting for attention.

Red interior would definitely look good on Bellanova White Pearl

I'm really enjoying the alcantara in my red on black A-Spec, which begs the question: why didn't Acura just put alcantara in the red interior as well? It would be a nice differentiator for all A-Specs.

Maybe this is test on Acura's part to see what people are buying before they start offering more ala cart options. It's probably easier on them to limit options to limit cost and reduce time to deliver with standardized offering versus the one off customized orders.

I actually saw that one in Dayton (ended up buying mine in Cincinnati). Interesting combo. I think it's one of those things that will grow on you over time. Then again, people said that about my red over red. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it.

Drove a blue over black with the alcantara seat inserts. Difference? Don't think there's a difference aside from how they look. Both are shaped the same way. Both seem to have the same comfort (which is very good). I like the ALL LEATHER of my seats. They're done well, the leather is soft and feels expensive (vs some of the leathers I've felt in other brands, or the "fake" leather in something like a Mercedes....who tries to convince potential buyers is the same as the real thing....it's not).

I just assumed it was because of the limited color of alcantara. I don't recall seeing that in other shades besides dark grey/black. Have other brands made that in other colors?

Yes, other brands have used alcantara in other colours. Porsche uses a red alcantara on the GT3 RS which looks quite fetching, as I recall.

Here are some colour samples from another source:
