Sport+ mode

Sport+ mode
Anyone else feel like this mode just seems like a waste if your not pedal to the floor?
If you accel then decel for turns/stops the engine is still reving big time and you get some jerkiness as you slow, but this disappears in sport mode.
Seems like the optimal mode for fuel+fun is sport. Have you guys experienced the same or am I missing something that would allow me to get more out of sport+ mode?

Suzuka Master
Paddle shifters are not a gimmick. They are if you don't know how to use them or, don't have then and you just have that opinion about them. Not everyone wants or needs that 3rd pedal but can enjoy the same gear control with the paddles

Back to sports mode. My current car and my previous car had it. Never used it.
On the 2014 Q50: When you change it to sports mode, the remote control steering goes into crap mode lol. Steering wheel is stiff, and it burns through gas like crazy. In ECO mode, the acceleration feels like you're driving a hybrid. But I don't even save that much gas. I get 15.2mpg in ECO mode on the Q50 (street driving).
Om the 2014 IS350: when you enable sports mode, the suspension stiffins up and it also burns through gas like crazy. In ECO mode, the A/C becomes weak to the point you don't even feel it's on. MPG wise, I got 16.9 in Standard mode.
The only thing I do like was that the Suspension becomes stiffer in Sports mode. That is a nice feature.

Obviously you haven't driven the TLX 2.4 if you think Honda doesn't have a quick shifting DCT. Might want to get clue what you're talking about before posting such statements.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a gimmick, but paddles definitely do not offer as much control as a true manual. I dislike the fact that the trans goes back into fully auto on it's own. Being able to shift into sport mode and then go up and down via console shifter like a BMW would be preferable to me. Paddles require both hands on the wheel unfortunately.

^^ The sport + mode will keep the gear, and not revert to the auto.
