Question Seat Replacements

Hey everyone, ive been looking at new seats for my tlx, wanting something a tad more sporty. I wanted to ask if it was possible to JUST replace the backrest of a seat.

The plan i have is replacing the stock tlx backrest with the new nsx backrest.....if I can find any

but I wanted to ask if this was even feasible or possible or if anyone has tried something like this.

i didnt want to change out the ENTIRE seat as i wanted to keep the power-adjustable and heated seats

Thanks!

I personally believe that you won't be able to make that swap as there will be alot of modification needed you could do the entire seat swap and still will be modifying seat rails etc. As NSX seats are completely different than TLXs also remember those seats will have impact air bags equipped in it which will be different than TLXs meaning they will have different air bag modules as well. Now you could ask an upholstry shop if they can add some extra padding to make it little more comfortable and won't be that much costly as well. Hope this help.

As said don't think it will work, and wont be safe for numerous reasons (bolts, airbags, etc).

If you really want to change then to something more "Sporty" then look for Aspec seats from a totaled car and use those. This way they'll fit, and have airbags. Have a professional do it to make sure side airbags will work
