I've never owned a white car with black interior before. Any recommendations for what % window tint to get? I've had 20% in the past on my TSX and ILX. Will it be too dark or too much contrast to put 20% on a white vehicle?

 

I have a white car, 5% back and 35% front. 5% is really dark, 25%-30% should look good. Are you doing the same % front and back?

If your state doesn't allow 20%, thenyou're taking a risk. I went with Huper Optik and the max allowable for my state (think it was 50% for front driver/passenger windows, 35% for rear driver side/passenger windows and 20% for rear window).

Look into it. Huper Optik is expensive but the heat reduction it offers is fantastic. I've had it for 11 years now, so there may be another equivalent out there by now.

Edit: Looks like MD allows 35% for all windows (except windshield). I think that would be fine. It appears that NM is the only state that allows 20% on the front/rear passenger windows...

Thanks for the replies. I have had 20% in MD before so I know it's a risk, but I think I'll go with 20% rear and 35% for front doors.

 

Have you done the tint work? How are you liking it?
