Question on SH-AWD

I know the shawd tlx isn't out yet but how is it going to differentiate in terms of looks?Just different wheels? Is there any pics out yet?Was also wondering I have a 2010 tl shawd and haven't drove a tlx yet but does the suspension and ride different than the 4g tl especially the shawd. You can feel and hear a lot of bump in the 4g tl.Will the shawd tlx ride the same?

^you're asking questions about a car that hasnt even come out yet....

well, the shawd version hasnt yet....

if history repeats itself, you can bet on the SHAWD TLX having a stiffer ride.

I recall Mat saying the SH-AWD won't have much of a stiff ride conpared to the TL in one of the previous videos posted somewhere.

I drove the tour demo. Feels a slight bit heavier than the V6, but doesn't torque spin off the line. Rides just as nice. Wheels are the same as the V6. Maybe you can see the rear diff under the bumper. The trunk badge ought to help also.

Well, the TLX has been out for almost a month, and already sold 3k , and nobody can
claim 0.60 times or 1/4 miles times.
All the blogs have been muted about performance numbers .

Does anyone know if they provide a larger front/rear stabilizer bars or a little stiffer spring rates with the sh-awd vehicles?

Yes. The Acura web parts catalog shows different part numbers for the front and rear stabilizer bars and front and rear springs for the SH-AWD trims.

According to the chassis specs on Acura's website, stock the front stabilizer bars are the same on all models at 26.0 mm, and the SHAWD and 4 Cylinder share 2.47 for the rear bars, while the P-AWS V6 has a 25.4 MM bar.

Other than the emblem on the rear for SH-AWD there is no difference in appearance of the V6 models.

Other than rims and LED fogs, the average person will not tell the +$13,500 difference between the base I4 and V6 sh-awd Advance model.

I think that will help the I-4 and V-6 tech sales and at the same time hurt V-6 sh-awd tech/adv sales/resell value down the road.

The rims make a massive difference IMHO.

Not sure how much it will hurt V6 sales. I drove both (twice) and couldn't justify $36,000 for a car that felt very 4cyl-ish even though it's quite good in many ways.

They should have put a few more features on the AWD to set it apart. For those coming from TL's, it would be nice to have a car where the extra 13k spent also comes with some visual upgrades (similar to how the AWD TL came with different rims than the Base, and the Advance came with diff rims than the Tech).

At the very least, they could have thrown a different set of rims onto the AWD. Either another 18" design, or put the 19" accessory rims on them. Another nice to have would be slightly modified bumpers on the AWD.

I will sell you mine, that way people will think it's a base V6

For the MMC 4G, you couldn't tell the SH-AWD from the Tech.. the base had no lip spoiler, so that was easy. The SH-AWD Advance had different rims is all that set it apart

Cool. I'll keep that in mind if Acura refuses me.
Then again maybe I'll just get a vanity license plate made up to put on the back:
V6 SHAWD
