I know the MDX have this feature where when you walk up vehicle the door will unlock itself and the lights will turn on without using your keyfob.
But is there a way to retrofit this feature on our TLX? I have a Tech model and like to know if there a module to do this feature. Would like some
insite on this.

 

The 2016 with tech package that I just purchased does that. Just touch the door handle and it unlocks. Check the settings.

I don't think that's something that could be added on if it wasn't offered as a feature for the car. There may be something aftermarket available but you would have to carry another transmitter.

 

I don't think that's something I would want at all. The car could unlock inadvertently giving someone undesirable access. What I *would* like to see (on *every* car with prox fobs is automatic locking when the fob is outside the vehicle and leaves a certain radius. That these systems haven't had this all along is really a miss.

 

Do the doors on the MDX actually self unlock on approach? I agree that the puddle lights comes on, but I always have to grab the door handle before the doors actually unlock on our 17 MDX.

Sorry. All Acura models are the same, as you reach your hand behind the handle, that is when it actually unlocks, not when you are walking up to it

 

Yeah, i don't buy the MDX functionality unlocking as you get closer.. There would be far too many unintended consequences of that.. I think OP is mistaken.
