I am looking at a tlx V6 AWD tech in the Chicago area and have got an offer of $35,500 plus ttl. That a good deal?

Sounds pretty good if it's a 2015 and used. Check kbb and any local dealer listings since I bet there aren't too many private sale

If it's a 2015 AWD Tech, I think you could get it lower. You could probably get it for that price OTD I bet. I got my Advance package for close to that price, but it's only FWD.

what was the build month? I might consider waiting for the 2016's to drop in price and buy one of them.

So they got a couple silver 2015 ones, so do I want to get one with a later built date?

Supposedly later build dates have less transmission issues. I gotta check the build date of mine, but I haven't had any issues since my purchase almost 2mo ago.

I wouldn't buy a 2015 with the transmission issues. Still waiting to see what's up with the 2016's as time goes on. They may be ok.

I would not buy a 2015 given the well noted history and Acura's response if you have problems. Even with the 2016 model I would wait as long as possible or hold on until refresh if at all possible. For me there is no $ value for the aggravation that some experienced with Acura for this model year. Not worth the crap shoot to hope to get a good one.

i'll wait until the details of '17 TLX leaked out. if changes are drastic and you like them, then wait for the '17. if you can live without the improvements, get killer deal on the '16s. i'd stay away from the '15 models, never buy first model year car unless you're leasing it.
