Pics of Graphite Luster w/ Crome Door Trim -or- Body Side Molding?

I've got a deposit on a GLM V6 Tech. The side/bottom of the car seems like it would benefit from a little dressing up. Anyone have full car pics of GLM with either the Chrome Door Trim (I'm leaning toward this) or the Body Side Molding? I saw a pic of just the bottom of the door but that's not good enough to make a judgment. Thanks in advance!!

I think I like it. What were your impressions in person? Mine won't have the accessory wheels.

It does add a nice touch to the car.

I thought it looked great! I would definitely add the chrome trim if I wasn't getting the SSM. I just don't think there's enough contrast with that color, but it really looked nice on the GLM.

I plan to add the chrome trim to the BWP I am getting.. with splash guards and deck lid spoiler. I liked the body side molding on the 4g but the placement of them on the TLX is to low on the doors to me.

I am old school, chrome looks good to me

Any shots more broadside to get a sense of how it looks on the car from the side?

I have the BSM on my TSX and it looks great low on the door. I think the moldings look like frumpy afterthoughts the higher they get on the door.

Did you try going to the official Acura TLX website, using Price And Build to add them?

Yes of course but that's a CGI rendering and not a photo.

Haven't looked yet in EE4life's accessories links, but I'd think if it were attached just by adhesive tape it could be positioned whereever you wanted it, like further up the middle.

Good point. I would expect that they are "stuck on"

They are attached with adhesive film/tape along with two clips that go around the base of the door. I'd imagine that the film/tape could do the job on its own but keep in mind there are contours to the panel(s) that begin about 6" up the door which would make it difficult to move them and keep reliable adhesion.

Thats what I did on my TSX.

Mine had an adhesive backing which I peeled and stuck on the door. Just be aware that since they were made to be mounted on a body panel crease, the back side of the moldings were NOT flush when I mounted them higher on a perfectly flat part of my door on the TSX. It could be the same issue on this car if you move the factory moldings up, or down.

The trailing edges of the front moldings, and leading edges of the rear moldings had an inverted "V" shaped gap against the body panel which I filled using black silicone, but only at the edges. That worked fine on my black car, but wouldn't work so well on any other color.

I think they look better mounted low, but unfortunately that makes them less useful for their intended purpose. My moldings have taken a beating at my place of work, but my doors are fine after 3 years.

Mounting the molding that low on the door at the part that flares out the most is great if you don't pay attention when you open your own doors, but doesn't help much if a careless idiot parks next to you, and swings their car or SUV's door wide open. They contact much higher, and still cause damage.

GLM is looking great there! Nice and dark but the metallic really helps accentuate the curves of the body when the light hits them.

How about body side molding? Anyone have a pic of that on GLM?
