Long Term Storage on Acuras

I'm not looking into storing my TLX anytime soon but I was curious whether there was a feature or special niche that Acuras have when dealing with long term storage.

So for instance you don't have to disconnect the batteries because there's a clock for a "complete shutdown" if idle for an X number of days.

If you plan on storing the car for more than 3 or 4 weeks, I would hook up a battery tender to maintain the battery. If you google Battery Tender you will see what I mean.

To answer the original question, there will always be a small draw on the battery when the car is parked until the battery goes dead.

^^ I concur! I have a CTEK3300 and I have been using it on my Acura since I don't drive them in the winter. It works great....Best 40$ I ever spent!

I've been away from home on a few extended business trips since picking up my TLX in September and found out about an interesting AcuraLink feature that should safeguard against some parasitic draw on the battery over an extended period.

The first time I was away for about 10 days I received the following via email:
Dear GINSBERG,

Your 2015 Acura TLX has entered low power mode. This could be attributable to a low battery or vehicle inactivity lasting more than 7 days.

Until the ignition is turned on again, AcuraLink features such as Stolen Vehicle Locator and Remote Door Lock/Unlock will not be available. We will send you another message when your AcuraLink system is again operational.

Sincerely,
AcuraLink
and also received an automated call that pretty much said the exact same thing. Within seconds of starting the car when I got home I got a call telling me that service had been restored and an accompanying email.

Wow! I never had an issue leaving my TSXs in the garage for 2 weeks, Maybe the TLX draws more power?

Long ago I left my non-tech car for a month and had no issues at all. Friggen modern technology. I used to be able to charge my cell phone for a week. Now I have to charge it everyday.

Technology may have improved, but battery life *sucks*.

I have been wintering (November - March) my 2012 TL ever since I bought it in 2011. As mentioned above I have it on a Battery Tender. I also store it with fresh engine oil and a full tank of gas. In addition, I overinflate the tires to help prevent flat spotting. There's probably a better way, but this has worked for me.
