For 2018 TLX, a hood lock is needed
The catalog says the following:
74120-TZ3-A12 lock 2018-2020 ($80 used)
74120-TZ3-A11 lock 2015-2018 ($40 used)

The difference in the number is one digit, yes, for Honda/Acura it happens that because of one digit it is a completely different spare part

But the thing is that I looked at a bunch of photos from different angles and did not notice the difference

My lock is disfigured after an accident, it is impossible to compare it with it upon receiving the goods at the post office

Does anyone know the difference between these locks?

Please do not nitpick the prices that I wrote, do not give advice in the style of "buy the one that should have been installed from the factory."

The 'catalog' you are referencing is incorrect in terms of the TLX model year range.
74120-TZ3-A12:



74120-TZ3-A11:
The TLX model year range for the 'A11' hood latch is 2015-2017 not 2015-2018 as you state above in your original post.



As far as what the 'specific' physical differences are between the two, who knows?
Not having one of each in front of me for actual examination makes it difficult to speculate upon; however, the difference can't be that large.
If you mistakenly purchased a 74120-TZ3-A11 for a 2015-2017 TLX and have it in hand, install it on the 2018 radiator core support and see if you can make it work.
