I think Honda has done a good job with the interior of the Accord and at last added a 60/40. But the new grille looks like it came off a 2012 civic. Yuck. And why have the fancy dampers only on the Touring. As the ride would be unacceptable otherwise? I still reckon on any typically ridged potholed surface it will be nasty with 19s. HRVs have them on all models. It rides very nicely. The Accords ride was barely good enough for many typical buyers before. I haven't driven one, but every car I have experienced with 19s and low profile tires has had a crappy noisy ride, Inc BMWs and 3/gen acuras. Love that red is available at least in the Sport.

But it is not just about comparing a list of features and the MSRP. There is an intrinsic value to the Acura, if a buyer doesn't appreciate it there are cheaper options.
Well said!

Sorry don't agree 100% on the BMW as it depends on year & equipment with it getting better as you move to the present.

My 2011 335is had 19" RFT on the sport suspension.

Noise over bumps really sucked & the ride was stiffer than it needed to be. Swapped out the RFT for CONTI DW'S 245/275X19" Get Flats. It smoothed right out & quieted right down. Was the super stiff sidewalls in the early generation RFT that were causing the issue.

Move forward to the 2013 135is & the RFT were a major improvement. Super smooth, no, but not out of range for a full on sport suspension. Good enough overall for me to keep the tires.

Finally on to the 435. Car has the DHP real time programmable shocks which includes roll control, a number of other items & a new generation of RFT 225/255X19". Took the wife for a ride when I brought it home set on Sport+ for both chassis & drivetrain. Trans shifter in sport/manual position. Wife's comment was this is not good.

Disengaged the chassis, drive train & shift pattern & she was really surprised at the instant transition into a very comfortable cruiser. There are a number of settings in-between to the extremes & anyone should be able to get a performance or comfortable ride of their choice. The DHS package is about the best $1000 you can spend on a car, as it tames RFT.

Without it you are at the mercy of your tires more than the suspension.

Don't think you are allowed to say that here. Everybody knows it the German cars that are all about the Badge & all other brands are excluded.

For me back in 3G days it was all about styling. I needed a 4 door for awhile & was going to buy an Accord V6 EX. I had a hard time getting past the styling & spent the extra money for the TL which I though was a nice looking car.

Don't think the badge back then was very relevant as a status symbol since I had more than one person, some in my own family, ask me "what is an Acura?"

IMHO, there has been and most likely- always will be- enough justification for me to spend the extra money on an Acura over a Honda.

Sorry, but not a fan. My mom drives a new accord sport so no how much they refine them it doesn't have the caliber of a true sport sedan that a TL or TLX holds up to.

Nice video of the 2016 Accord.

The coupe front grill is better that the sedan (too much chrome) but the sedan rear design is better than the coupe (hate that black plastic beside the red reflector).

Did they use a drone for the video? Nice shots.
