I am moving from a 2017 Elite to a 2019 Elite A-Spec. In both my 2015 Elite and my 2017 Elite I could avoid the car going into Park when going through a car wash by simply keeping the seatbelt done up. I use a car wash which is a conveyor type but the attendants take the car from you drive it into the car wash, do some interior cleaning and then put it on the conveyor belt. Using the car wash mode doesn't do the trick because it gets shifted into drive by the attendant before it goes on the conveyor. It is much easier to explain to an attendant not to undo the seatbelt than how to put it into car wash mode. Does anyone know if keeping the seatbelt done up still prevents the car from going into park when the driver gets out of the car? Thanks

Does Toronto have a huge problem with car wash attendants stealing cars whenever the fob is left in the vehicle?

I bought a seat belt extender on eBay for a few dollars. I clip it in for the carwash and my car thinks the seat belt is secured.
