BWP or GLM ... Wheels ... what to do?
Hi guys. I just put a deposit on an I4 Tech. The dealership didn't have the color combination I was looking for at the time and now it's decision time. I'm stuck between a BWP or the GLM, either way I'm going with the ebony interior. My concern about the BWP is the honeymoon phase of the color. There is no doubt that the BWP is really nice but i have never had a white car before and don't know if I will still like it 2 or 3 years from now as I plan on having the car for much longer than that. I recently saw the GLM and I really liked the metallic flake in the paint and thought that is was a more classy and everlasting color ... if that makes any sense. What to do? Just curious of the pluses and minuses to each color of you have owned one.
Also, the dealership put together a TLX with all the accessories on it in the showroom (19" wheels, lip kit, etc.) So I asked them if they would swap the wheels for me and they offered to sell me the set of V6 wheels with tires for $1000 and I can still keep my I4 wheels. Is this a good deal?

First, you cannot go wrong with most of the colors, except black, blue and red which requires membership in a special club. White is a good color and very popular with many TLX owners, as is GLM and SSM. You should continue to like BWP after many years. The metallic flake does something special, but so does the pearl, so it come down to a personal choice. I am extremely happy with my color selection.
The 18" wheels are my favorite, and if you can get them for $1K and keep the 17" with tires then that is a fantastic deal. It is less than half price. I am going to be buying some after market 17" wheels plus TPMS sensors and winter tires and expect the price tag to be $2K (with shipping and taxes).

If you have an Ebony interior, I recommend a BWP exterior. Your car will look great with the light/dark contrast.
I prefer dark interiors on my cars, but I picked GLM with Graystone because the contrast looked so good.

White is actually a great color for long term ownership as it will be very good at not showing swirls and minor scratches and scuffs that you inevitably pick up over the years.
My wife is hell on cars and she had a white suv for about 8 years that was all scratched up but you didn't notice it until you got up close and looked - from a distance it still looked pretty good.

I got the 2.4 GLM with ebony interior and the extra set of V6 wheels. I signed the paperwork on Saturday and picked it up on Monday. Love it!!! I'm not allowed to post any picks yet but will as soon as I can. I got a few of the accessories from my dealerships website

I'm not trying to promote their site just let you guys know the prices are pretty good and they are genuine Acura accessories. I bought them online at their online price and just had them give them to me at the dealership.

Having just come from a White Pearl Coat Accord Touring, I decided that I wanted something different.
I narrowed it down to GLM or SSM. After reading, it seems a large number of people love the espresso interiors, but the I don't feel like enough attention was given to accent plastics in the cabin to complement it for my tastes.
Ultimately, settled on GLM with a Graystone interior. Pretty satisfied thus far.

I chose GLM for a few reasons. You still get most of the appearance benefits of a dark color yet it's much more forgiving than black to keep clean (I own a black car and my last car was GLM so I have lots of experience). Plus the metallic in GLM helps accentuate the nice curves of the TLX' body.
I'd go with GLM. Both colors are splendid though. The deal you got on the wheels is good too. Only thing is I'd be curious to see if they could make an even better deal w/o the tires since people aren't too fond of the tires from the dealer apparently.
