Thumbs down Ashamed at Some Member Conduct in Previous Thread

I haven't been on the board much for the past few days but I'm ashamed to see the conduct of many members in the thread where the OP got rid of his TLX after 5 weeks.

If anyone has been following my posts, my car does the exact same things, a VCM vibration/rumble and general vibration at highway speeds. I've been in touch with Acura Client Relations as well as my dealer about options and, coincidentally, my local BMW dealer despite the fact I've owned nothing but Hondas and Acuras all my life (turns out they can't help right now).

Should we have bought a first-year car? I expected some issues as I have bought first-year cars before but I figured they would be with trim pieces breaking not significant drivetrain issues that are apparently unfixable (ESPECIALLY from a Honda/Acura product).

Why didn't we catch them in the test drive? Well that's easy, the VCM issue doesn't start until the engine is at full operating temperature and only when you're cruising in high gear. By the time the engine was full op. temp. I was 1/3 into the test drive and at times before and after I was getting on it to exercise the car as I'm sure that OP was and anyone would before spending significant money on a car.

Shame on many folks for impugning that OP for simply stating his experience and in many cases throwing logic and facts out the window to do so. If he/we put the time, effort, and money into a TLX deal we certainly did NOT want or expect what we have found with the car, we obviously hoped for a great car and ownership experience. If he chooses to leave Acura after this you can't blame him; first-year glitches shouldn't be unfixable drivetrain issues and Acura has little else to offer at this stage.

You may lock this thread as well but being in a similar situation with my car I was in disbelief at some of irrational responses/attacks and felt compelled to post.

Of course this thread is getting locked.

My closing remarks were to keep things on point, and related to the TLX or topic on hand. This thread does what exactly? It may been well intentioned, but it serves absolutely no good purpose, and will change no ones behavior. These are adults here, not children. (although behavior may sometimes indicate otherwise.)

If you think that people won't have a response completely opposite of yours, well that's just naive, and a thread like that just doesn't belong here.

Last warning; Vacations will be handed out next time.

If you would like to continue in Ramblings, be warned that you better have a thick skin. This place is preschool in comparison.
