The A-Spec price wise is at the upper end of TL pricing. I also have not seen another on the road other than mine in 3 months on the east coast.. To me that is a good thing. I have seen two non-A-spec 2018 in the past 3 months. The non A-Spec models will always sell many more just on price. I hope the volumes stay low. The good thing is the resale value will stay high and me having bought the blue which is overall (outside of people here) is a rare color and down the road the market will be good when you eventually want to move on from it. I had a silver type S but the blue Type S today is the most sought after version and commands the most on the used market. Lets hope things stay that way. Most people buying are not going to spend the extra for an A-Spec but down the road it will hold more value than the other models as in the used car market the A-Spec will be a tougher find and command more than the more common models. Anyway I could be wrong but I suspect the market will be very solid with the ratio of the trims sold in 2018/19.

That is the true unicorn. Kinetic blue Type S with manual transmission, very sought after combo and with those low miles makes it super rare. Price a little high but 20k for one like that does not surprise. The market for used Type S 3rd generations is extremely strong even 10 years out..

I just picked up my 2018 tlx a-spec. For me the biggest reason was the non a-spec did really look good to me. The other reason was the a-spec option was not that much extra so If i was going to spend that amount of money that little extra to ensure I loved the car just made sense. The a-spec package really does make a huge difference in the looks department.

The TLX just makes me sad for what Acura once was.

Saw my first A-Spec yesterday in So California. It was that dark grey (whatever it's called) with the dark wheels. I'll have to admit it was a real head turner

I don't see a lot of 2018 TLXs in Winnipeg. I know that the dealer sells any 3.5 ASpecs they get, and does okay on the 2.4 ASpecs. The non- ASpecs aren't moving great but they do have very good deals on remaining 2017s. I personally would lean more towards an Elite 2.4 than an ASpec 2.4 because of the interior choices and the value proposition given the greater discounts. However, I'm good with my current 2016 and likely will be in a much better position to consider the new version in a year or two. Mind you, the blue ASpec, which has yet to make it's appearance at the dealership here, is one fine looking car.

I see a ton of TLX driving around Columbus, Ohio - most of them are black, some are 2018. I did not look at the exhaust to see if they're round or not (A-Spec). I was actually surprised at how many I've seen - I had not bothered to notice them before I bought one myself. I also see a fair number of TLs, most of them in black too.

What?!?
As far as cars costing under $100,000, it's one of the most beautiful I've ever seen, at least in person, in the "Lunar Silver" color. I really like the wheels that come on the V6 "Technology" trim level.
I didn't look too closely at other colors. I would say that it has a elegant, simple, classic look with modern touches, in the Black color. I can certainly see how some would prefer the A-Spec if they want the car in black, they may not like the chrome accents. A "All Black" car with "black chrome" accents, tinted windows, dark license plate covers, and black wheels is cool in it's own way. But I were to get the A-Spec trim for myself, I would choose the blue. In non-A-Spec, I chose "Lunar Silver", though I would have been happy enough with any of the colors, and any of the real leather interior colors too.

It's the chrome bits that screws up the non-ASpecs. Your Lunar Silver color or white is the only one I'd get because it hides the chrome. Or if any other color I'd at least wrap all the chrome to not make it so visible.

Some people do like black contrasts on white cars though, and some might think it looks "tacky" on the white. I don't mind it on the white, but I almost feel like the chrome should have been only put on the silver. But then, I bet at least a few people really like it with the black too.... I'm just waiting for the day when getting a whole car covered in computer controlled curved AMOLED displays is affordable

My dealer here in Ohio has a blue A-Spec, it's nice. In the versions of the TLX with the chrome trim accents (not black as on the A-Spec) I think silver is the best looking but in A-Spec I would get the blue.

Which dealer did you get your TLX? We have Columbus Acura and Lindsay Acura. I’ve been keeping an eye on inventory at Columbus. They have had these 3 still night a-specs for a while. Hoping to get a good deal this summer when my current lease is up. Yeah the black trim around the window is defitnetly more sporty than the chrome.

I have literally saw one Aspec about six weeks ago. No other new TLX's with the new grill. And I live off a very heavy travelled highway I use everyday to go to work. It's incredible. It's a unicorn. Plenty of older models TLX, but no refreshes.

I live in a decidedly working-class burb (although my next door neighbor drives a Jag) - I see tons of Fords and Chevy's and Buick's - maybe one TLX every three months. I do see older MDX and TL's in the grocery store parking lot on occasion.

I live in a Province with one Acura dealership, but I see a fair number of the 15-17 TLXs, with white and black the most common colours, and a good mix between the 3.5 SH-AWD and the 2.4. I have seen perhaps 2 or 3 ASpecs and 1 or 2 non ASpecs with the new grill. MDXs and RDXs are plentiful, ILXs are around but in fewer numbers than the TLX. RLXs are indeed rare.
This past summer I pulled up to a red light at a busy divided intersection. Driving my white TLX, I noticed a another white TLX across from me and a 3rd white TLX crossing in front of me. I said to myself...."maybe this is a sign and my Leafs will win another cup in my lifetime", and "Wow, what a dam fine looking vehicle"!

I must be one of the only members who doesn't love kinetic blue pearl. It's not bad... but I'm far from loving it. The majority of guys seem to go crazy after blue cars, though.

I do see a lot of white TLXs too. Followed by Black. I have a theory though- judging by AZ, a lot of Acura owners are of an Asian background. And in my experience, Asians looooove clean white cars. True story!

Depends upon the area, but I would say that the highest percentage of cars I see here being driven by Asians are German made. On the other hand, a couple we are good friends, who are of Japanese origin, drive a silver Hyundai Sonata and a white Cadillac XT5.

There are four lights!
Lots of Asians driving German vehicles here too, wearing Canada Goose coats, with something Louis Vuitton . Being of Asian descent, I guess I'm doing it wrong as I wear a North Face jacket, drive a TLX and have a $16 wallet purchased from Amazon.

im Montreal and I have not seen any apsec. I’m in the process of selling my 2007 type s 6MT in blue for the new aspec. I’m just looking forward to the smooth drive and fresher technology. To be honest I haven’t seen any of the new tlx at all in Montreal, Boston or Toronto.

I drive 60 miles daily on major highways in the north Texas area and have seen exactly 1 refreshed TLX on the road until today.
Surprisingly I saw two this evening: One non-A-Spec V6 in a parking lot, and a black A-Spec on the road. The non-A-Spec V6 was pulling out from a parking space and the first thing I noticed was the huge chrome strip on the bumper. What was Honda thinking!?
The black A-Spec in traffic looked great from the back and rear 3/4. I'm not 100% sold on the front -- it's better suited to SUVs -- but it looks so much better than its non-A-Spec brethren.
The perfect combination would be the '15-'17 front end and the rest of the A-Spec package inside and out.

As for myself, my really bad experience with Acura, just killed my faith in the Acura brand.

Just go to Acura Metropolitain in Montréal, they have a yard full of them ... LOL I am also from Montréal and traveling from east part of the island (RDP) to downtown every day and only saw 1 2018 ASPEC so far.

Acura Metropolitan is way too off for me. I don't go much to that side of the city. My daily commute is around VSL-NDG, CSL and Westmount. sorry to hear about your bad experience
I go to Acura Laval for maintence or KNS Auto (Carrie).
