Currently driving a 2016 base where my lease comes due soon. Was going to look at a 2015 V6 (Tech). I know the 2015's had transmission problems. Were they fixed with a recall? Should I shy away from 2015 models?

 

The only "fix" for the 2015 was to get a new ZF transmission in them.

That being said I've had some issues with mine but have learned to accept it and live with it as the dealerships clearly don't want to go the new transmission route. Even contacted Acura Client Relations who was even more useless.

 

My 2015 FWD Advanced has been good. It is a late 2014 build and still has the original transmission. I may have had a software update done on it, but it was nothing that I asked for. VCM works fine with no vibrations and excellent gas mileage. The only time I notice any shifts is if I'm babying it from a stop light. Even then, it's nothing too severe. I usually trade my cars in after 5 years, but I'm having doubts about trading this one.
