2015 Acura TLX SH-AWD TECH
Hey Guys,
I just got a quote from the local Acura dealer on a 2015 Acura TLX SH-AWD TECH package. 39 months/15k miles a year $500 a month. Just taxes and motor vehicle fees up front.
What does everyone think?

^ No offense, but I'd wonder how that was possible. Or more specifically, how much cash they want from you. I just leased the same car, 10K miles, 4K down, 39 months, $499/month. The extra 5K miles/year is going to cost an extra $3000, or about $77/month all by itself.
I saw every single number - calculated the least payment myself. At MSRP and no additional cap reduction, with that mileage, you should be in the $6XX range.
If it's a real deal then great - I'm suspicious they are not telling you something.
One consideration is I have sales tax to deal with too.

yep its the real deal. I was pushing for $475 but they're not budging any lower. I know the dealer well, they've been trying to sell me this car for the past 5 months. And this deal is pretty tempting.

I was set in getting an Acura TLX SH-AWD Technology last year when I saw the prototype hoping the production car would look very very similar to it. Once pictures of the production showed up here and VTEC.net I was somewhat disappointed.
Anyway, during the Lexus December to Remember I ended up leasing a 2015 GS 350 F Sport with MSRP of almost $58,000 for $490 per month for 24 months 12,000 miles per year with 1st month waived zero drive off / zero down. So I'm only paying 23 months and get to drive the car for 2 years plus free 1 year maintenance.
Really happy with the car except I'm only getting about 19 miles per gallon since I'm always on Sport + mode most of the time. Love the exterior and interior design of the car. Maybe in 2 years there will be a Type S TLX with a much better design / better performance.

That deal is hard to believe…..an economically depressed state? Father owns the dealership? I live in Canada, and you will routinely pay 100 to 200 more for a comparable lease on a similarly equipped Lexus 350, plus 2% Acura loyalty reduction. And to be honest, i prefer the TLX drive and look, ESPECIALLY the front end (not a fan of he over the top Mitsubishi front look….trying took hard to stand out. However, they are excellent cars to be sure, just not my cup of tea.

Yup, I got a great deal thanks to forum members on Club Lexus. I have been following this forum for years way before Club Lexus. I still check out Acurazine hoping that one day a TLX Type S will be announced or maybe even have spy pics.
I really wanted to like the TLX but after checking out the car several times back in early August when it first came out I was just not impressed with the design and the materials used. When I saw that some people were able to lease a brand new loaded Lexus GS 350 F Sport for around $500 including tax with zero down and first month waived it wasn't even a hard decision to make. Love the car!

I live in Los Angeles area and we have so many car dealerships here. I had 2-3 dealers that offer me the same thing. This was late December, just before end of the year. Check out this link for Lexus GS 350 lease:

It is a polarizing design. A few days after I got it, I parked the car next to a V6 TLX and I was glad I made the right decision even though the refresh 4th generation GS 350 will come later this year. For me, GS 350 F Sport looks way better than TLX, inside and out. I got Nebula Gray with Cabernet interior and loving the combo. The 19 inch wheels match the color of the car. Plus 12.3 inch display is nice. Car also has some nice looking exhaust tips unlike TLX.

I just signed on a TLX V6 Tech and added 4k worth accessories. $0 sign off $525.00 p/m FL tax included. 38 months 12k miles....
Your deal signs good. But do you guys have a separate tax that you pay the state or something as well ?

I must run and join the Lexus forum so that I can talk about the deal I got on my 3.5 SH-AWD and how much more for the money I got and why I like it better….blah…blah….wait, that's sort of idiotic isn't it?

I kinda felt sorry for the OP because his/her thread got hijacked talking about a deal someone got on a Lexus and how much better he/she liked the Lexus over the TLX.
One would think if they bypassed on the TLX over a year ago, and is so much happier with their Lexus, then why are they on this forum at all, let alone commenting or seeking to discourage the OP from buying an Acura?

You know I was thinking the same thing.

If you read my earlier post then you would understand why I still check this forum. I wasn't trying to hijacked this thread.
TLX has only been available for half a year. It was supposed to be released last May but they postponed it.
I'm a member of both forums and has been checking out this forum WAY before I joined Club Lexus. My family still owns Hondas/Acuras. There are actually people who are members of both forums, I'm not the only one.

I never understood the need to post on specific car forums after moving on to new brands. I don't bother with the Acura 3G or 4G, ClubLexus or Accord forums, I have this one to troll now

The reality is always how subjective car tastes are. One man's or woman's treat is another's poison. I think debate is always healthy, but in general, I believe that posters on a particular auto forum should either own or be considering that particular brand. Otherwise, join a more generic forum. I made the same comment a while back on my Altima forum to someone who left Altima to buy a Honda Accord. There were issues with his Altima, but he seemed to believe his life mission was to continue to post and warn us all of the perils of the Altima. I playfully suggested he leave, which he took too much too heart…and did In this case, I think it's okay to say why you decided not to buy but beyond that, it should be Good Night Irene. One man's opinion. Did I mention the Lexus is a good car…….

I don't mind hearing about other cars so long as it's objective and relevant. Someone going on and on about how much better some car is than a TLX is rather pointless, because at the end of the day what car you drive is 100% subjective.
I own a V6 SH-AWD and I drive around in econ mode almost 100% of the time. A lot of people would wonder why I just didn't get the 4. But that's not what I wanted, and I drive my TLX how I want to own it. And that's really the point, right? Buy what you want, own it like you want, but don't try to convince other people what to own or how to own it.

Given the direction of this thread, I thought the following comparison review between an Lexus ES 350 and the Acura TLX might be interesting. They actually used the 2.4 in the comparison.

Indeed. I'm a good example of this. I was very active on s2ki.com, user #8 (or something like that), community organizer, forum mod etc. My wife and I had 4 S2000s between us. However, since selling the last one in 2008, I passed on the mod duties and community duties and have hardly been back.

^^ I can see your point although if you have discovered great people and want to stay on top of the development within the brand and product, it could still be fun to socialize and hangout here. My new car (this spring) will not be an Acura but I still like the brand and all you guys and gals
