When they signed Jones and Duckett, I knew this was coming. I don't see Jones or Duckett doing what he did a couple years ago. For Alexander it's good that he can do what he wants to do as far as a team goes. But will he be smart and go for the TEAM or MONEY??

Maybe the Bengals will sign him?

I still can't believe Seattle signed him to that eight year contract though.

Yeah, but who in their right mind would play for them?

I think Alexanders best days are long over. It was painful watching him play last year. But who knows, sometimes a change in environment sometimes helps i.e. Corry Dillon.

Bears, Texans, Panthers & Lions would be good places for him...

Funny, they both play the same way. Tiptoe 2 or 3 yards, promptly fall down, repeat.

You really think he'd sit out a year of his prime and not pad his stats trying to get in the Hall?

No chance. Lewis played him perfectly.

If he actually plays, he's going to get so much shit for it. He put himself WAY out there. Plus, even if he does play, there isnt much to prevent him from being a locker room cancer.

He's reading the TO hand book. I predict the B's will suspend him by the end of the season for all the stupid shit he's going to be doing during the season.

^ Yep, all true. Writers around here have been calling him T-Ocho Cinco

But, he's been a locker room cancer and team distraction for a few years now since Lewis has never been able to control him. There was a time when Chad was a classy guy, but ever since the playoff game where Palmer got hurt and he blew up in the locker room (and supposedly punched Lewis), he hasn't been the same.

I agree though...if he played, it would be a joke. He would put forth no effort whatsoever. You'll see us drafting a WR in the 2nd or 3rd round tomorrow, that's for sure.

Maybe they're waiting until the cap penalty won't be so bad...who knows. I think it would be funny if they traded him somewhere like Oakland where he'd be lucky to ever see another winning season

Yes, that would be the ultimate slap in the face. But lets be honest here, its not like your downgrading much from the Bengals

Sad to see him go. He's a stand up guy but he hasn't been the same since 2005 it seems.
