Sacramento meet #6.0
Okay, it's time to retire the meet #5.0 topic and let the Canadians have their victory. :p I've updated the Sacramento meets web site and posted a few pix from the meet. I just got the rest of the pictures from Rolie and I'll get them posted with a meet recap tomorrow evening.
My weekends in September are looking pretty filled due to the Labor Day holiday and a week vacation in the middle of the month. I'm looking at Saturday, September 29th for meet #6.0. Post here if you're interested.

Since Edub-TL and AztecRol made the trip up to Sacto for the meet last weekend, I suppose we could do the same and head down for a Bay Area meet. It's just that from Sacto we're so close to a lot of prime, uncrowded (& largely unpatrolled!) twisty driving through the Sierra Nevada foothills. Tough to beat for pure driving fun.
Any date yet for the next Bay Area meet?

Edub,
Looks like the Axe misses me (this time). They had undercover cops here all day and people were very distraught and crying.
Sucks to be in this market right now.

I'm glad both of us made it through..
they say, that there won't be anymore for at least the next year..
It was wierd, lots of unfamiliar people walking around.. must have been security.
One guy in our group got hit.. sux, even after 24years of working for the company..
at least he gets to take a year off..

Jim: yes I am meeting Glenn to pick up the camera. Perfect timing too; the accessories I ordered from www.sony.com (128MB stick, USB media interface, case) a few days ago were waiting on my door step when I got home tonight.
[rambling]
As for chain-loosening..haha...well there's probably a number of factors. My wife and I have been married 15 years, but it was the same with us when we were first married as it is now: we've always really treasured our time with each other, but we've never been possessive with each other. We have a good balance of quiet time together spent at home, time out on the town with just each other, time we both spend together with mutual friends, and time spent away from each other with our own circle of friends. Just lucky, I guess.
[/rambling]
Now on to more serious matters! I really like the feel of my car since I put the springs and shocks on. After last Saturday's road trips, I set the front shocks to 1/2 turn, but left the rears at maximum softness because I didn't have time to remove the rear seat. Nonetheless, the steering does feel lighter, and I'd swear there was even less body roll in turns than with the sways. And the 1/2 turn doesn't seem to be too harsh for daily commute driving.
When I get a chance this weekend I'm gonna pop the back seat out and set the rear shocks to 1/2 turn also. I'll probably leave it like that all the time, with the possible exception of twisty road trips where I may dial up the front to 1 full turn.
After all that fun driving the twisties last Sat, I am REALLY bored driving my car to work every day. I think I might have to skip eating lunch one day and drive out and back on Latrobe Road...

Thanks for the wife tips guys! Things are getting better
On another note, I bit the big one yesterday and had a sub installed in my car. Actually I already had the sub (12" Soundstream SPL) but I had sold the Amps from my other car so I just bought a cheap Bazooka 500Watt (2Ohm) and a small box. Circuit City did the install in about 2 1/2 hours and let me tell you, my stereo is now Complete! I'm very happy with the sound and I can't wait to show everyone at the next meet.
Best of all, I didn't spend $4.5K like on my last car. All said and done, it was just over $400.

Good move, Jason...add value at a reasonable cost. Just another reason to hang on to the CL.
Now you can compete with Jim and Justin in monthly bass contest at our meets.

why don't you all come down for the model expo at cow palace... we can have a mini meet here in SF...
but even better would be if you joined us in SocAl on the 22nd...
We are making that shitty drive too... ya know...
it's quicker for you guys to get onto i5 anyways...

Is the Cow Palace show on the 29th? (Cow Palace...that really sounds like it belongs in Sacratomato. :p )
I can't speak for the others, but I'll be in New York city the weekend of the 22nd. We do need to get hooked up and join you d00dz in a Bay Area meet one of these days, though. :o
