Winter Tires -rims/mags

Guys, I need your help. I have 18 inch tires but I don't have rims. I tried to called Acura and few other stores and I found out that there is no regular rims (cheap metal ones) for Acura TL SH-AWD. The only solution is to buy mags.

The rep from MontrealTires told me due to the break size in AWD model, those regular rims won't fit, I have to buy mags at $145 each.

Can someone confirm?

Thank you for your help.

My Acura dealership sells 17 inch silver steel wheels with tires (225/55/17) for the sh-awd (2013). Bought the Michelin X-Ice3.

Thanks! I did some research and I found out that with 17 inch I can find Acura's silver steel rims but my problem is the 18 inch i think.

I've tried searching and couldn't find any cheap alloy ones either for winter, ended up buying a set of matte black touren tr60 18 inch for 155 a piece. A little expensive but looks nice for winter!

Check 1010 tires may have some rims that fit into your budget.

Hi Tony,

I picked up a CPO 2012 SH-AWD Elite back in April at Acura Brossard.
They threw in some Acura 17 inch silver steel wheels with tires in the deal even though the car comes with 19 inch summer wheels.

The tires are quite a bit chunkier but frankly it makes the ride a lot more plush.

The silver steel wheels makes the car look a little better than the standard black winter rims you see all over the place.

Oops.. sorry. I just read you already have the 18 inch winter tires.
In this case, not sure if they make some 18 inch rims or not.

I find Costco has some good deals for standard black steel rims.

Why anybody would adorn their late model TL with steel wheels for nearly half the year when 17" alloys can be had for around $100/wheel is beyond me.

^^^$50 instant rebate on a set of wheels this weekend too....

Thank you guys!

I bought mags for $170 each from Penu touchette Saint Laurent. I had no choice. I tried to find 18 inch and couldn't find.

I know i paid a lot but as you know guys in Quebec you cannot live without winter tires.

Thanks everyone.

Just stumbled across this thread and thought I'd post to say that I picked up a set of Steel rims for my 2012 TL SH-AWD (17") for $240 total from Diabo Tires in Kahnawake, which is a 15 mins drive from Montreal.

Alot cheaper than the places you all have been mentioning here, from what I can see.

Just a tip! Diabo is good for all - tires, mags, wheels, changing tires between seasons. Highly recommend

I got lucky early this fall and found 2006 17" ASPEC RL wheels WITH TPMS, Michelin X-ICE for $300 on CL. They are used but ready for the snow. I'm considering pulling the Mich and slapping on some BliZZak's because I'm sure those TPMS batteries are almost dead (if not already). Could be good for a few laps if we get an early snow though.

Thanks! will go there if i need anything

I know 17 is easy to find but 18 was difficult to find. thats why i end up paying $700 for mags. But no regret, they look cool.
